  1. Mmm, I'll take 'ultra-limited' with a pinch of crystallised salt these days but this is such a great track I'm going for it. Be a damn sight easier to play this than unpack a triple LP box set each time. Musically I feel this owes ever such a lot to Orbital's Belfast. Seems like a probably homage to me.
  2. Hadn't heard of this band before; very smitten now. My Complications with its Bloc Party intro is killer. Thanks for the tip. Will check out their back cat.
  3. No coincidence with the timing of this given how popular Sia is rn, but very grateful regardless to plug the gap with a repress.
  4. Happy enough to get Tongues on vinyl tbh so will def order (later in the year when it's out ROTW).
  5. $9.99 shipping from CD Universe to the UK. I've never known shipping from US so cheap. Proves it can be done and that generally getting asked for $25+ is bs.
  6. Yes it's unclear. I took the 'Online Exclusive' text to mean it applied to the whole package, but maybe the gold will be in stores?? They've not released to stores so far afaik tho and I didn't want to risk it anyway so ordered with the quickness! You're right about eBay madness. I have Fluffy and a signed Bros 7". If those tracks are on the LP I'll be selling them asap.
  7. Spent 10 minutes trying to work out how to post a new topic and I'm stumped. I found a link to the pre-order for the new Wolf Alice LP. Can't even work out how to add a URL to this post! Fail Anyone care to point me in the direction of instructions please? Cheers
  8. Probably regret a 3xLP and the labour of having to get up every 10 minutes, but it looks damn fine. Ordered from Amazon UK as I'm pretty sure Young Turks use Sandbag for order fulfilment. Sandbag suck major ass; have had too many issues to ever use them again.
  9. Poster stores use a dry-mounting\vacuum press type machine to flatten posters\prints and remove creases. Wouldn't hurt to ask if they'd try one of your less valuable covers. Just a thought from a non-dick.
  10. This already got posted - http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/111482-po-soon-ceremony-the-l-shaped-man-matador-records/
  11. New album (their 3rd), 16 years in the making. Vinyl is signed on pre-order - http://leftfield.tmstor.es/cart/product.php?id=24735 Listen to a track here - http://www.leftfieldmusic.com/ Unexpected, but very welcome. Very much looking forward to this more than the new Prodigy From their site: "8th June 2015 sees the long awaited return of one of the most established electronic acts in modern times. Alternative Light Source marks the third album under Leftfield’s belt, following up the Mercury Prize nominated Leftism (1995) and Rhythm and Stealth (1999) and- dare we say- surpassing the lofty bar set by both. Double Vinyl: Presented in a gatefold 12" card sleeve, with a double album on 180g vinyl and album artwork featuring Mark Wallinger’s iconic ‘School - Classroom’ piece (by kind permission of Collection CAM-Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation) . Each album comes with a download code for a digital version of the album. Package designed by Simon Ryan. Side 1 1) - Bad Radio 2) - Universal Everything Side 2 1) - Bilocation 2) - Head And Shoulders 3) - Dark Matters Side 3 1) - Little Fish 2) - Storm's End Side 4 1) - Alternative Light Source 2) - Shaker Obsesssion 3) - Levitate For You"
  12. I just returned it without opening. At least if yours turns up damaged you could always get a refund and purchase locally
  13. For the 'diamond white' LP, be prepared to be underwhelmed with the flimsy vinyl :/ Also, mine arrived damaged. 2" seam split, crushed spine, massive corner bend - if the same packaging is used for overseas shipping too (thin cruciform, no stiffener), good luck! I'm UK. Back to the vinyl, reminds me of those late 80's CBS 12"s that you could almost fold back on themselves without breaking - both the record and the sleeve; so thin. I'm a cynical old git, but this just smacks to me of the same old major label vinyl cash-in practice - press as cheap as possible for maximum markup. 4AD\XL\Mute etc regularly do 180g solid presses in quality sturdy sleeves and inners for less than I paid for this LP. FROOT pancakes anyone? I'm returning this and will wait to feel the heft of a black vinyl instore before purchasing again.
  14. This sounds like it could have been straight lifted from the last Broken Bells LP. Which is a good thing.
  15. My contribution. I ship a lot from the UK via Discogs and use Royal Mail. The default insurance, worldwide, for loss\damage is up to £20 when you supply the free 'proof of posting' they provide. I stipulate that anything domestic or international over £20 has to be sent recorded, which gives basic tracking and full value insurance with a signature on delivery. International customers pay £5 for this on top of actual cost shipping. I'm fully aware that buyers have the right to get a full refund from Paypal if the item doesn't arrive. I accept this, it makes good 'no quibble' practice for me and my customers and the above rules cover every eventuality If I buy from an international seller and they put the standard, "I accept no responsibility for items lost in the post" warning, I pay it no heed; Paypal will protect my purchase. In the OP's case, if the seller posted the record without ensuring both parties were fully covered for loss then that's a fool choice. You could argue that the sellers attract more sales by offering cheaper shipping, but that's entirely at their risk in this age of Paypal. The customer's always right, and so Derek™ should file the Paypal claim. Cheers.
  16. I both hate that we have to beg record companies to repress vital, long OOP vinyl, and am also ecstatic at them allowing me to finally own those first 3 releases. (ps - limited colourway for the 1st LP should be 'silver turns to blue')
  17. Great news. Missed opportunity on the pressing colour though - the film's about the theft of the *Green* Destiny sword. and afaik blue means far less in Chinese culture, compared to something like red, or green, or yellow, or black even
  18. Please to have passed by to get the heads up on this, thanks! First album was great. Saw them live in London too - cool guys. In stetsons
  19. Here you go - http://www.recordstore.co.uk/recordstore/recordstore/Carrie-Lowell-Clear-Vinyl/41YJ0000000
  20. UK stores are selling this for £40 ($60) so yeah, this thread cheered me up a bit
  21. Also a Banquet Records 'splatter' exclusive, probably 300 - http://www.banquetrecords.com/futurehearts
