Had a couple stouts and came up with some improved artwork for you guys:

if i'm paying for a record, the artwork is absolutely part of it, and there's a reasonable expectation it should be undamaged. by your logic all bands should just release albums in plain white sleeves since it apparently doesn't matter. i can tolerate minor dings and seam splits, but when you have a full 2 inch gash right through the band name on the spine that is fully visible on my shelf, i can't abide by that. at the very least a partial refund should be offered if you don't have the product to replace it.

that would be incorrect though, the package is a part of it. would you accept a book with the cover torn off? it's not like you're reading the cover. or basically any collector shit, action figures, collector cards, fuckin forget about retaining value of sneakers if you don't have the box or the box is crushed. If record sleeves don't count as "the goods", why even both printing them, just send them out in a generic cardboard slipcover.
If you're paying for something, you're paying for the FULL package, otherwise you shouldn't be paying full price.

Nice to hear, Juan. To me, By The Way's mellowness and experimentation in the second half of the album really sets it apart from the other albums and is probably my favourite. 
 
Stadium Arcadium, I always see people talk about it as if it was chock-full of filler but again, its mellowness and less-is-more guitar work really makes it great for me.
 
I felt Californication had great singles, some of my favourite songs ever, but as a cohesive whole the album lacks a bit of personality.

Such a consistent band. But I agree with some of the others that Charmer really holds up. Probably my fav of them all!

This is the thing for me.  
People still listen to MJ, Bowie, Aerosmith, and they all get radio play despite doing some pretty disgusting stuff. 
People just gotta empathize with people more and not think cause you listen to band you support pedophilia or something. 

Oh yeah. I need to just throw it on front to back one of these days and see if that helps instead of just listening to random songs. The way people talk about it makes me feel like I should love it.

I'm a huge thrice fan, mostly love their early disco up until alchemy, but after all these years I still don't understand the love for beggars, It was a plain dadrock record (their first) especially after all the cool experimentation on alchemy and vheissu. It was a very poor decision to make everything themselves. I was devastated at the time. Major/minor is a complete trash, they needed that break, while TBEITBN is somehow a very strong return album (long defeat for example is a top-tier thrice song), which is very hard thing to do, it's still dadrock though, but somehow works. and I hate black honey though, and how it's their most popular song. Palms was just superbad, not a memorable moment on it, deeper wells is way better than any song that made the record which is meh.
These 2 songs are promising but still hate that I feel the "dadrock radio" vibes  they can't seem to let go since Beggars, but yeah they are old, just like me, so I guess I have to live with that. I can still go apeshit for Silhoutte live though
