Hi, welcome! Unfortunately the late 80s/early 90s was the era when vinyl production massively slowed down and was over taken by cassettes/cds. Early presses of some of the records you’ll want to obtain can go into the 100s if not 1000s. The good news is most these albums have been repressed a bunch and you can get decent sounding copies for a reasonable price either online or from your local record store. There are tonnes of good deals to be had if you know where to look (I’ll come back with some suggestions when I’ve got a bit more time)

I just find it hard to believe when members say everything they buy shows up damaged. My collection is larger than most and it's also around a 90/10 online/retail split. I've had 3 records get destroyed in 12 years of collecting I just don't get what the fuck is happening for the world to pick on you people.

Sell a record here. You'll see. It has to be pristine for the collectors. Good thing, though. I still have SKM's Benji because of this mentality. When I needed to sell it, it had a corner ding about the size of an ant's pubic hair; dude was like, "I really want this album so bad on vinyl... but the corner ding is ruining it for me." I shit you not.
