So, thanks to you trusty VCers I hadn't otherwise realised our websites currency converter had stopped working. It's fixed now, and through some proxy site testing mimicking a US and then Germany connection, it seems to be working again. Currencies should be local, but final checkout will remain in $AUD. Which for a lot of you, means big currency savings. For me, it means pressing records is even more expensive. Swings and roundabouts.

Loving it. I wouldn't mind if Hobb. did the AUS stuff. They did a great job with WS.

You're right Derek - If it does happen, it'll be so overpriced as it's ONLY going through our AUS/NZ retail distributor. Hence why some of our releases on Interpunk have very high prices and others are much lower. I'd be surprised if it did make it anywhere honestly.
 
Important to note, because of the numbers in Ryan's group buy, and his continued long term support of the label - I discounted the final total. Ryan (presidential candidate if I'm not mistaken, from previous comments) has passed these savings on to each buyer. You won't do better then that group buy.

Well, I think I speak for most everyone else when I say that I appreciate what you do, and the amount of care you put into your product.  The shipping rates and details of production costs may be rough, but it is what it is.  At the end of the day you're putting beautiful records and great music into the hands of dedicated vinyl enthusiasts.  I think that says a lot in itself.

The Tunnel Blanket 2LP found its way to interpunk through one of our distributors. As I don't have many left, no distributors will be restocked, therefore none for interpunk. So once they run out, it's unlikely they will get more.
 
There might be a repress in the future, but nothing urgent.

UPDATE - Pressing is /500 Navy Blue for Hobbledehoy

/3000 Copper for Suicide Squeeze

 

The plant had previously given me incorrect information. Issues arose with the gatefolds/inner sleeves, we're not able to do < 500 and because of all the deluxe features we had to use the same plant as the US pressing to ensure quality/consistency. This now means the Hobbledehoy pressing will include printed inner sleeves.

Big thumbs up for Hobbledehoy in Australia. My box from them made it all the way to the UK by land and sea and the records were in excellent condition. All round great service.

Like and appreciate where your head's at, but you are only looking at material costs. To properly release a record I have to pay for manufacturing costs PLUS an artist/designer, a producer/engineer, marketing/advertising, a PR person, a radio team, mastering, shipping materials, employees, and the artist themselves — not to mention that services like limited run/big cartel and haulix which we use to process orders and service the record to press cost money. None of the labels you love are making a killing. None of them. Your jaw would drop if you saw my tax returns for the last three years. So, though I hold no ill will or grudge against you at all, this kind of thinking comes off to me as entitled, presumptuous and inconsiderate of how much goes into making something sustainable that you're proud of.
 
Also, I usually disagree with anything Jason Tate has to say (this piece included). Dude is well-intentioned but just straight up doesn't get it IMO. It's like he wants Absolutepunk to be Mashable and you just can't look at this niche through that kind of scope. SMH all the dang time.

for the record it's "Tom" at Hobbledehoy, GREAT GUY!!!, and usually the magic number to make shipping a 2xLP from AUS airmail to the US is 9 people. The shipping for Waking Season was like $10 per record, may be $11 vs. crazy $$ for 1 record.
