andrewlucas
I've never done a box so I don't know how it would work exactly. I'm interested in trying it though. Maybe I'll try it on a small one for 7"s. As far as the art goes. Obviously bigger is better. The higher the resolution the cleaner the image will be. I'm not sure the minimum though. I think it may be 600x600 pixels.

WalnutSoap
I might be interested for my Final Fantasy VII pic discs. I'll see if I can design something up for the front and back to send. Out of interest, what are you using to print the designs onto the sleeves? Inkjet/Laser?
raynerho
How does one go about finding the artwork? What does the resolution need to be? I have a few jackets that I would't mind having made but I have no idea where I would find the appropriately sized artwork. Me too!
brianmorgante
I'd love something custom like this for Fear Before the March of Flames - Art Damage and MxPx - At The Show jacobweigh and Requiescat

So I could technically make you guys t shirts too. Haha. By the way, if I dont reply to your PM's its just because I can only do one project at a time. I'll respond in the order I received the request. I'm gonna get these Disney ones set up for Aladdin, Little Mermaid, and Lion King and then I'll start doing the one-offs. andrewlucas
Since the font Whalen uses isnt a real font I'll have to just find something similar or use the original Aladdin font. I'm starting with Aladdin.
toomanyrecords
This sounds awesome I might need to take you up on this sometime soon.
andrewlucas
The Whalen art says Walt Disney Pictures Present at the top. Should I leave that in the art? And should I Include that on the spine or just have the title of the movie on the spine?
batman
i'd kill the walt disney presents and the other extra text too if you can (it may be too small to print clearly anyway?) make it like the studio ghibli mondo jackets where the artwork alone carries it. idk about the spine. i think we all trust your judgment haha. corey.
Those look nice man. I'm interested in a sleeve for 2 Death cab albums (I just have the vinyl, from the misprinted box set) and a sleeve for a picture disc of Freddie Gibbs could be rad. Like others were saying, how do you get the images that are large enough? Or at least large enough to look half decent? I'll shoot you a PM soon if the quotes on your thread are accurate. andrewlucas
Try google search and under search options choose large images. Those usually work but it's sometimes hard to find the one you want. A direct high res scan is the best. If you have a sticker, a cd, a mini poster, anything. Try to scan it at 600 dpi.
andrewlucas
Oh, and I've never done a solid single color background like black so I don't know how it would turn out. Might not look so good.

andrewlucas
Next question, the track listing on the back, do you guys want the tracks numbered or just the title of the track?
batman
Maybe not numbered but Side A/B. Could also look at the pic disc and see how they're numbered (or not) on there--I think the track listing is on the disc.
andrewlucas
I compressed the file so it would be able to be posted on here. Not sure if it will be big enough or small enough. RowBearToe, DakotyTSI and batman

andrewlucas
I have to round off the handle on the lamp and im gonna have to scale the beetle down because its too pixelated. I dont have the highest resolution pictures to use but I think they might work. But is that good for a basic set up?

deletedunknown
Do you have illustrator? Shouldn't be too difficult to either livetrace or redraw the beetle in the program. Also curious how this will go on. Disney's pretty big and tend to be protective of copyright. If this doesn't get hit with a C&D letter, I might have to start offering to do original illustrations for stuff. Hope it goes off without a legal snag. That'd be so shitty.
