PO: Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy Up the Girl & Boy Named Goo (10/15)

Recommended Posts

Ordered signed hot pink variant. To say I'm excited about this release would be an understatement, by far my favourite album of the 90's (sorry OK Computer)

This album has some great pop/rock songs and I love them all, but for me it's no competitor against something game-changing like OK Computer.

So, I've pretty much finished the listen (kind of).

This album sounds pretty good. It's better than I expected. It sounds like my copy of the CD I listen to in the car. No noise to mention.

There is a simple printed lyric sheet. Nothing crazy, but whatever.

The release itself is a little lacking in a couple of ways:

simple sleeve, inner sleeve is garbage (pretty common), and the matrixes (matricies? I dunno) are pretty non-existent.

It's pretty standard. Think "FAT Wreck Chords"

I would have been happier to have a 2LP at 45 rpms, but ain't that always the case!?

All in all, I do NOT regret dropping $35 for a signed LP of a record I love. I hope BNG is just as well done.

I'm definitely interested to hear what you's guys think when you receive and listen to your copies.

Listening to my standard Amazon copy right now. Sounds a little better than I expected, but definitely nothing mind blowing! Always thought this was a great sounding album to begin with!

Can't find much to complain about really, other than maybe a little sibilance issue on Bullet Proof so far, and on Dizzy there's a little cracking and popping (nothing a quick clean shouldn't fix).
