kevbayer
Is it a good deal, seems like 4 dollar 7"s before shipping?
thedillon
$4/ 7" record is not a good quote.
Bladewillisisdead
Can I get a discount if I'm pressing some asinine video game soundtrack that no one is ever actually going to spin? dantheriver
Sidney Crosley
$4/ 7" record is not a good quote. Pressing these days is crazy expensive. If they are including jackets, that's definitely about as good as it gets. Pressing in quantities lower than 500 means the per disc cost is going to be very close to what you would sell them at. GradedOnACurve
Interesting that GZ is starting to use mixed recycled vinyl. Saves a few bucks.
stl_ben
$4/ 7" record is not a good quote. Where are you getting a lower price at? I'm honestly interested.
SOLIDMFG
Hi All, thanks for the response! That bare bones 7" special has a high per-unit cost for a 7" because of the low number of units you're working with. We're rolling out our bare bones specials with a low number of units and a low total price in order to try and work with customers for whom total cost, not per-unit price, may prohibit them from doing vinyl. We can do 7"s with the same specs in higher quantities, just hit us up! For example we could do 500 7"s, same specs, for $1400, which would be $2.80 per unit. The more units you press, the more the fixed charges get distributed out and the lower your final per-unit costs will be. All our specials include cutting/plating, all setup costs, vinyl, labels, jackets, assembly, and shrink or polywrap. Our cassette specials may not be as cheap as bare-bones DIY options that are out there. For the time being, our specials include upgraded, commercial-quality print and complete assembly and shrinkwrap. We'll be rolling out CS quote builders soon that may allow for cheaper pricing for less bells and whistles.
