a lightbulb that died10 years ago comes back to life?

Recommended Posts

What type of bulb was it? 10 years ago I'm guessing standard 60w bulb? If it was too bright before (meaning like even in comparison to the other bulb in the room it just shone too brightly, not too bright for your taste) that likely means you had an imbalance somewhere on the circuit. Likely scenario would be you lost a neutral connection somewhere and all your voltages on the circuit got put out of whack.

There are two things I would guess. Has any other electrical work in the house been done lately? Someone working in the panel or even something as simple as changing another lightbulb somewhere else could have effected the circuit. Or, and more likely here, there was a problem with the neutral connection on your transformer outside and hydro fixed it and now your circuits are balanced again and the bulb is getting what it actually needs finally.

Or you just have a fucking ghost
