natenomm
3 different variants on their Bandcamp at the moment and Merge has a couple of their own variants. I'm really digging the track they shared. https://store.relapse.com/item/112724/custom-vertigo-merge-ltd-to-135 https://boris.bandcamp.com/album/heavy-rocks-2022 Edited May 17, 2022 by natenomm

Prestonlanes
Ordered because I thought it was a reissue of the OG (which I still hope is coming). Hoping this is good, but I found 2011 a little lackluster. bubb4
Derek™
Two Boris albums in one year is pretty nice. I think this will be more my speed than W was. Still wish we’d someday see a vinyl press of the 2002 Heavy Rocks, even if they allegedly lost the masters. bubb4 and Multiverse
natenomm
Damn, didn't know they lost the masters to the 2002 Heavy Rocks. bubb4

Don't quote me on this but I believe I read – more than once – that they were lost in a fire. (Maybe even the one that made headlines some years back, and destroyed a shit-ton of master tapes.) Between that and whatever legal gridlock the album has been in, they're almost better off re-recording it note for note at this point. I was always skeptical that we'd ever get Flood on vinyl, so... "never say never" and all that. But that OG Heavy is the last piece of a Boris vinyl collection that I desperately want to fill in. Hopefully someday. bubb4

May have to try tracking one down one of these days or just wait for the Third Man repress.

cardiac
Worth noting: there’s a recent 7” with two tracks off Heavy Rocks (the OG one), but it’s unclear how they were sourced and only adds to the mystery of the masters, rights, etc.

DecayToDeath
Apparently at the merch table they've got tour editions of akuma, maybe others...when I saw them on the tour that those originally were for, they had run out of that variant. Anybody able to get one this time and hook me up?
