IanRees
Simmonds game is perfect for the Flyers. Richards is the perfect 1b center the Kings have needed.

kirbypuckett
Crazy stuff going on in Philly.
shenanigans
stoked on yesterday's philly trades. Not so much on Carter going, but Richards has been complacent. I feel sorry for LA fans. With all the partying Richards did in Philly when he should have been working out I can't imagine what it's going to be like for him in LA. Apparently, a hurt wrist means your legs don't work in the playoffs. The craziest thing to me about the whole thing is that they were able to move those guys with the long term contracts they have. 12 years for Richards and 11 for Carter. Maybe it gives the Devils hope of getting rid of Kovy at some point?
thesupervillain
As if anyone is surprised, the Winnipeg team will definitely be the Jets.
Snaggle Von Swift
pretty bummed that Scheifele put on a generic black NHL jersey and not that beautiful Jets jersey!
shenanigans
pretty bummed that Scheifele put on a generic black NHL jersey and not that beautiful Jets jersey! I think they said they're not going to use the same logo, so they still have to come up with that part.
mcm1610
Sabres solidify their D by trading for Regehr, but mostly by ridding themselves of Butler. The trade is funny... Plusses for Buffalo: Regehr, Calgary's 2012 2nd Round Pick, Getting rid of Butler Minuses for Buffalo: Byron is a decent prospect, forced to take Kotalik back. Snaggle Von Swift
sucks to have to see Paul Kariya retire due to effects of concussions. Dude was so awesome to watch in his prime.
mcm1610
Big goings-on in Buffalo these days.. it's really exciting. If the Sabres manage to sign Ehroff, we have a stud defense in front of a stud goalie. If anything big happens up front in bringing in a true #1 center, I think the Sabres are a real threat. Richards between Vanek and Ennis would be a real threat, and that focus lets Roy run rampant in the #2 center roll and who knows, Connolly (if he's back again) could really perform in the third center spot where he's completely forgotten about by opponents like when he played behind Drury/Briere. 000000
FA Day gents! We locked up Regehr and Ehrhoff already, still not sure how I feel about possibly getting Richards. The bounty on him might be a little too high to make him worth it, but Uncle Terry gets what he wants, haha.

stopthisnoise
serously, Holmgren/Flyers? Jaromir Jagr? lololol. and you guys picked up Talbot too, he'll definitely help out in the goal scoring department /sarcasm
jhulud
Panthers are doing some interesting moves. Gone is Vokoun and now they have Jose Theodore. And Ed Jovanovksi is back in the fold.
mcm1610
Panthers made a lot of bold moves. I'm not sold on Leino for Buffalo, kind of don't know what they were thinking there. Dude hasn't proven himself, so why did you lock him up for 6 years, and why for so much money?
Snaggle Von Swift
4.5 million is a joke for Leino. I was mad that Holmgren couln't keep him in Philadelphia.. until I saw that number. This UFA group has so many overpaid players.
rkfoster8
$18 million for Flash (Fleischmann)?? Now THAT'S an overpayment.
mcm1610
Tim Connolly won the lottery with Toronto... guy isn't worth the 5.5 million he's going to make this year.
Snaggle Von Swift
95% of this UFA class hit the lottery. but $1.5 million for Vokoun to Washington for 1 year? that's a fucking steal traded Varlamov for a 1st and 2nd.. when it was in question to if he was even staying in the league, and then replace him with Vokoun for next to nothing a few good pick ups on D George McPhee looks great right now. cwilks
Washington definitely looks good after that. Every other team overpaid for what they got.

cwilks
Havlat for Heatley?is San Jose's front office all drunk on a 3 day weekend? I feel like it's all about the postseason. Heatley was invisible in the playoffs which has become typical of the sharks team. Setogucchi on the other hand makes no sense. Although burns is pretty good.
