jaymagnus
Hey Ya'll, I've been digging the hell out of a lot of the folk/country punk projects that have come forth in recent years (the Chuck's, Tim's, Frank's, Austin's, et all) and was wondering if anyone could recommend some more, I suppose conventional/classic folk/country (in addition to less heard newer stuff of course) for me to sink my teeth in to. Fire away.

gojira
Folkways has begun reissuing their LPs in what is as damn near to the original packaging as they could. This label is honestly the only thing you need to look for in folk/country/country blues. I just picked up the Roscoe Holcomb 'High Lonesome Sound' for my GF and it's great. Definitely one of my favorite labels ever and it's great to see them resurrecting vinyl.

controlthebleeding
His Hero is Gone i was waiting for someone to catch that... yes, whiskeytown is amazing, along with ryan adams' solo stuff, but it depends on which album, as they are all a bit different in the form of country to rock.. he spands differents styles and i think that's why im a fan of his work..
