I had previously pre-ordered the Blood Mountain 2xLP a month ago. AND I won a copy of it in some contest. So that rules. I also picked up a ton of free posters today. Everyday Music in PDX had free VooDoo Doughnuts. So that ruled. AND they had a raffle for free Skullcandy Headphones. Which I won! And gave to my girl because her earbuds are almost dead. Best day.

Here is my score for the day:

Mogwai / Fuck Buttons 10'' (White / 500)

Editors - Last Day 7'' (/100)

Fucked Up - Daytrotter Sessions 7'' (/450)

Hot Chip - I Feel Bonnie 7'' (/100)

Jonsi - Go Do 7'' (/1000)

Of Montreal - Back To School 7'' (/1000)

Seasick Steve - Diddley Bo 7'' (/1000)

Lily Allen - Back To The Start 7'' (/100) (for a friend)

I also got this stuff that wasn't a part of Record Store Day:

Of Montreal - For Our Elegant Caste (Red /1000)

Of Montreal - Early 4 Track Recordings (180 gram)

Operation Ivy - Energy (Picture Disc) for £5!

It was a great day, Stuart from Mogwai was doing a DJ set in one of the stores I was in, they were even handing out cakes!

I've just finished listening to the 7''s, the best one by far was the Jonsi 7''. I'm really tempted to pick up that album now. The Editors 7'' is also really good.

I'm disappointed the Get Up Kids CD and the This Will Destroy You 10'' didn't make it over to our stores. I've been told next week for the Get Up Kids CD.

i also picked up dr. dog cause they were playing a show at the electric fetus here in minneapolis and fun was had by all.

i went to 3 different shops and each one had totally different number of stuff then the other. i guess all of them did have like...13 copies of owl city just sitting there..haha.

the dude in front of me jokingly said something about how he was ready to "throwdown" once he got inside so naturally i told him all i wanted was godsmack's "cryin' like a bitch."

Joe Strummer & Mescaleroes-Streetcore

Js/Mescaleroes-Global a go-go

Modest Mouse-Moon and Antarctica

HWM live 7 inch

Fucked Up - Waterloo (daytrotter sessions) 7 inch

Mike D (controlthebleeding) got the Hold Steady, I could've probably gotten one too but I really wanted the Joe Strummer represses.

was a crazy mobscene at Waterloo, but everyone was generally pretty cool, I got the last HWM 7 inch and the last Fucked Up "Waterloo" daytrotter 7 inch, so I guess I got kind of lucky...still kind of kicking myself for not getting the Sick Of It All double 7 inch though.

Didn't get the Bouncing Souls or HWM in Canada. Surprisingly, didn't see the Against Me either - but that should be easy enough to find. The other two are going to tough, that die-cut HWM sleeve looks awesome

Those and Hold Steady were all I wanted this year, so I'm bummed they didn't come to Canada. I did order the Against Me! 7" online though.

went to about 4 or 5 different stores. didnt see the hold steady lp anywhere. only 1 store had the fucked up 7"s (2 copies, regular cover im assuming -- i bought 1) and the modest mouse 2xlps. most people seem to scoff at the price on the mastodon 2xlp as they should seeing as how the pantera 2xlps were basically the same exact thing and 17 dollars cheaper. between my girlfriend and i, we picked up the following (i know some arent official RSD releases)...

pantera - cowboys from hell

pantera - vulgar display of power

fucked up - daytrotter

deftones - rocket skates

pelican - what we all come to need

circa survive - blue sky noise

coheed and cambria - year of the black rainbow

modest mouse - moon and antarctica
