hearing some people's stories about how their stores were clusterfucks today and completely unorganized makes me grateful vintage vinyl always does a good job with RSD. nice orderly but long line. all the RSD stuff tucked away behind or in front of the counter and plenty of copies of almost everything in stock. i got everything i wanted.

there were a lot more people there than last year though. i got there about the same time as last year, about an hour before they opened and there was easily 30-40 people ahead of me as opposed to no more than 15 last year. when i left about 30 minutes after i got in the line was still to the end of the strip mall.

I'm jealous of a lot of those lists. Sounds like a lot of people had a good day.

I picked up Strummer's Global A Go-Go and will be getting the HWM 7" when it arrives Monday or Tuesday.

Still looking for Strummer's Streetcore though. It was sold out at the record store I went to. If anyone sees this or has an extra copy, please get in touch. Willing to cover all costs $$!!!

Donnie Darko 7"

I have no idea what exactly the Donnie Darko 7" is... my record player is at my apartment where I go to school and I'm back home with the folks for the weekend. the cover is of the scene where donnie is at the movies with his girlfriend and frank is sitting beside him. i love that movie so i snagged it for $2.99.

went to Harvest Records in Asheville, NC. if you guys ever pass through western NC you gotta stop in. nicest dudes and an amazing selection.

For me:

Modest Mouse LP

Joe Strummer LP's

V/A It Happened Here LP+7"

Bruce Springsteen 10"

Against Me! 7"

Elvis Costello 7"

Ted Leo 7"

Hot Water Music 7" (x3, I got extra copies for friends who are as nuts about this band as I am. I am not flipping them and they are already accounted for)

For friends:

John Lennon 7" set

The Bird and the Bee LP

Is anyone else a little disappointed that the Ted Leo and Against Me! 7"s are just records thrown in white sleeves? I was hoping they'd do something more than just that.
