agaetisbyrjun
It sounded to me like Piano Wire had 2 drum tracks so I would assume it's both Brian and Ben playing. Right...but then Ricky from mwY tweeted that he was in the band (assuming it was Ricky, as he is the one who runs their twitter) So I have no idea if he was joking or is actually involved. Guess we'll find out tonight
scottheisel
just watched that entire first part. i think they will release the last two parts with show footage and stuff, so that might be cool for those who cant be there. also, was that scott h at 15 minutes in?! I haven't watched it but I doubt it!

scottheisel
did you send a video for it to the capture media guys? Nope! I am not involved in anything Shone-related. Not me.

tomfiend
Why are they all pronouncing 'shone' wrong in the documentary?
daegor
Why are they all pronouncing 'shone' wrong in the documentary? You made me watch that terrible video... (only made it about 3 minutes) That's how I assumed it was pronounced. Online dictionaries agree: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/shone

Online dictionaries agree: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/shone Online dictionary sounds better than those kids in the video. Shone does not rhyme with shown. This is how you pronounce shone - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLKiMbC6s2k#t=5m55s it rhymes with con or John or gone.
daegor
That's a less common (but still correct, from what I understand) pronunciation.

tomfiend
It's the english pronunciation which is the language we speak. I understand different accents, and people who say 'shawn' and such but to say it like 'shown' well thats just a completely different word. hobohunter48
Right...but then Ricky from mwY tweeted that he was in the band (assuming it was Ricky, as he is the one who runs their twitter) So I have no idea if he was joking or is actually involved. Guess we'll find out tonight He never said he was in Shone, the reason why he tweeted that was because people were asking the mewithoutYou twitter account what Shone was and he said that he was in the band (mewithoutYou) but didn't know what he was tweeting about. astrangerwithcandy
I think people let hype kill this for them. I didn't know anything about this until like 3 days ago. I actually enjoy the album. Am I the only one who gets a Talking Heads/Cure vibe from Baby Shakes? pickrunner18

It's like there's an e at the end of the word or something. I hope the band members pronounce it "shown". That way you'll sound like an idiot in addition to being pretentious. daegor and billya

tomfiend
do you say bone withe a soft 'o'? Of course not, but bone is not the past tense of a verb as are gone and shone. Haha this is getting ridiculous. It probably just goes back to when Americans decided to change lots of things in the English language. 3arl
of course not, but bone is not the pat tense of a verb as are gone and shone but did you ever consider that the band did not intend to name their band after the past tense of shine and just decided to sort of make up a word? It's possible, but not likely. Either way, it's a nice name.
