Lower left corner bent to shit. Had this exact shit happen to me when I ordered a kyuss record that was titled "mint condition never played." Yeah lets just say when it arrived it wasnt mint. They will be stoked that they wont have to break them down. I only use them for inserts but I've used them for mailers once or twice. Double/triple layers + inserts can be equivalent, if not better, to a standard LP mailer. Post Office gives out boxes for free. Extremely easy to make your own box/inserts if need be. Recently, a board member mailed myself and atleast one other person our records wrapped in bubble wrap which was then wrapped in brown paper. By the time I got to it, it had been sitting in the rain for several hours and the paper fell away like wet tissue. Luckily the bubble wrap protected the records but not enough to where they escaped without one and a half inch bends on the lower right hand sides of the sleeves and five inch wide seam splits on every inner sleeve. Compared to that, I dare say I'd take any of the shitty box solutions presented above. Neither I approve of, but better of two evils I guess...
