Every time I go back to Manipulator it just gets better and better. My favorite thing he's done along with the Band LP. The venue was a fucking closet. Room was so packed, that people couldn't even get in, they had to linger near the entrance. Totally oversold. Real piece of shit venue. So, no matter where you stood, you were gonna catch some pushback from the pit. I was leaned up against the bar just right of the stage at the beginning, and decided that was a bad place to be really quick. The waves from the pit kept crashing upon me. I'm not that spry anymore, and I haven't been in a pit for 20+ years. Most shows I got to these days have adequate standing room or seats. I said fuck it, and joined the crowd and got tossed around like a peanut. It was actually quite visceral. I woke up pretty sore, but mostly from head banging.
