The description of “thought experiment” didn’t tip you off? I don’t think they mis led anyone I just think most people lack comprehension

When most people lack comprehension there's probably a chance it isn't comprehensive. But yeah thanks for being so mysterious and not letting any of us know even though you read countless posts questioning what this was. Really weird hill to die on here lol

  2. Sonic and subsonic literally mean "sound" and "no sound". That isn't clear at all when the following sentence says the band is in a room with mics on all their instruments on the surface (or sonic) level with another (subsonic) experiment hidden on second groove. I don't think people should be all that mad but don't defend this either lol.

If it was so obvious why didn't you tell us all what it was? You were posting around the drop time.

No i'm not trying to shame you, but like...  why didn't everyone mass revolt against them?  This is beyond egregious levels of bullshit on their part.  Like, i can't even believe they did this.  This is straight up MEAN and evil-spirited.

Personally I just don't care. Could've actually made money off of it if I sold it around the release date too. I buy 100+ records every year with a good chunk blindly by artists I love... they don't always all hit and a lot of the time I'll lose out on more money selling something I didn't like at a loss than I would have selling this.

  4. Between Blond 2016, Endless, and the 7 inches he released a couple years ago there were like 4 years of delays combined and I'm sure thousands of angry emails. They pressed more this time than they sold in the entire timed window in 2016 and waited til they were in hand to sell... which helps avoid the massive delay headache I guess but man did they underestimate the demand 😅

The worst thing they did was not limit the amount you could buy. I'm sure there were plenty of 10 LP orders.

It's perhaps reasonable to have an adverse reaction to a song you like being used in a commercial, especially for a product you don't like.

What isn't reasonable is to think anyone else gives a fuck that you had that reaction, or expecting that a band using something they wrote to make money somehow signals a deficiency in character.

I think this is the fairest take on the matter.
