I saw sigur ros like 5 or so years ago. I bought a ticket on stubhub.com the day of for 12 bucks.

My guess is you really have to love this band and be very familiar with their music to enjoy them live, otherwise it's pretty damm boring.

Yeah, Sigur Rós broke the $70 mark which was my previous "record" for most-expensive show costs.  I told myself I'd probably never find myself spending more than that, prior to this morning.  Really hope they're both worth it – a lot of my all-time favorite performances I've been lucky enough to catch were had for $14 at small bar-venues, or $30 at music halls / ballrooms.  Typically favor those a lot more than larger arenas, and not just on account of the price.

I found my ticket stub from the last time they played the Greek in Berkeley and prices 11 years ago were close to $60 including fees. I guess Radiohead has always been an expensive ticket but seeing as I just saw them at OSL the price this time around made it an easy pass. 

If it makes you feel any better, I secured 2 for Berkeley and I don't know how I feel about it.  Opted for the $7 insurance on each ticket because I've never spent $100+ on a show, so out the door it was $240 plus change.  You'd think I'd feel victorious but I actually feel like I just stood by and watched Ticketmaster diddle my wallet, grab its throat, and spit in its face just for the fun of it.  Fortunately my better half is a hell of a catch and she's covering her half of the purchase, but $120 is still far and away the most I've ever spent on a show.   She's thrilled and that's enough for me, but I hope to never cross that price threshold on a ticket, going forward.

I had the Dandy Warhols sign an old 7", and Brent DeBoer asked if he could sign the back since he didn't play on it.
I had Mikey Welsh sign a copy of Weezer's blue album when they were touring before the green album came out. He signed right over Matt Sharp's face.

You know what gets me going, the fact that I bought the original press of this at Criminsl Records gor $11.99. Yup! $11.99! How the heck is at $30 for a single LP. Am I missing something here...? The pricing on these RSD titles are getting way out of hand....

I've never heard  Bull Moose's mailers described as "cheap" before. Plus, I'm pretty sure I've always had my preorders mailed Two Day Priority which is AMAZING considering the shipping fees have always been either free or $3.00. 

Never.  I've ordered from Bullmoose around 20 times and I don't think I've ever received any damaged records....with the exception of a couple small seam splits.  They typically use those awesome reinforced mailers with the extended edges.

wow. mine was shipped where the adhesive wasn't even exposed, still covered. I'd have to peel that off if I wanted to stick it to the cover and then tear the strip across the front. I guess I figured they all shipped like that and you could decide to set that up or not if you wanted.

Got The Fountain on Monday. Emailed them Tuesday morning. Got my replacement this morning. Holy fucking shit that's some customer service. No idea how media mail sent from TX to NY on Tuesday got here on Thursday.
 
So far I'm like 3/4 of the way through and it's 1000x better. A few clicks/pops here and there but well within reason and doesn't come close to ruining anything.
 
I've talked a lot of shit about Mondo over the years, but this was some A+ customer service. Also, with the Death Waltz guy in charge they seem to have gotten their shit together.
