After looking up reviews, I ended up buying the AP Core! This will be my third copy, I have black MOV and that Walmart splatter already.
You made a good choice! I have eight copies now. This is the last one I will buy, I promise.

Rotting Pinata is going to be available in stores Friday from MOV. 1500 copies on red and black marbled vinyl.
I'm assuming this is just a new color of the same MOV release from 2 years ago. I don't see anything that's special about this "30th anniversary" edition.

Tempted to pick it up since it’s currently discounted but kinda want to wait to hear if the AP version is that much better.
It's been discounted for at least the past three months. I would hold off. I'll drop my thoughts on which is the better pressing as soon as the AP one comes out.

I might have to offload my MOV copies for these:

I have mine on order. Core comes out early March, but no release date for Purple yet.
The 30th anniversary 2LP pressing of Core already crushed the MOV. Really excited to hear if it's even further improved.

The Ten Club Exclusive color looks awesome but costs $78 for me after shipping. No thanks.

This is definitely something I plan on picking up somewhere on super sale down the road
Good luck with that. The box set, tri color, and fly version will never sell for less than list price. The other Alice in Chains boxsets sell for about twice what they originally cost.

It's a shame that no one saw this deal since this site has been down for 4 days!

I'm surprised they only pressed 150 of the fly version. Could have gotten at least 500 idiots to buy that.
They didn't have enough dead flies.

Re-recording albums seems like the new trend. I don't really understand it. I have yet to hear a re-recorded record that sounded better/or different enough to warrant the energy. I mean TSwift is doing it, but that is because she wants to own her own masters. I get that. This other stuff is whatever.
Agreed. All the re-recordings I've heard are inferior to the originals, Taylor Swift albums included. It's hard to capture the original emotion and energy you had when you recorded the first time around many years ago. Every re-recorded effort seems overproduced or trying to hard to capture something that isn't there anymore.

I bought more than ever in 2023. I need to slow down. I have no space left for more records. But there are so many albums I want to add to my collection. I need to come up with some sort of plan for purging and then develop strict criteria for adding new albums to my collection. I have so much stuff I've only listened to once.

Damn, if I didn't need groceries for the first half of 2024 I'd be all over that
You only spend $800 on six months of groceries? Please share your secrets! That's two months for our house if we are lucky.

I was not expecting to buy this when I got the email. I figured it would be at least $75. I couldn't pass at $30.

Sounds like they are almost sold out. I didn't buy the live Fantastic Planet vinyl a few years ago because it was $60, and now it sells for a few hundred. I assume the same will happen with this. I don't love paying $50, but I don't want to miss out either.

What year is this show from?
It's from 2023. It's this show - https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-nixons/2023/trees-dallas-tx-2bbdc04a.html

Maybe they will release a silent version of this album as a companion to their last release.

Up for preorder now. Double LP on colored vinyl.

I grabbed the /100 orange signed with sticker. A bit pricey, but I figure it would be the same as the cost to see them live somewhere, so it's just like I paid for a show.

would rather have a 57 LP set of Prince studio records box set
That's a lot of records for 8 good songs!

Received Cherry Tree Volume 5 yesterday. Won’t spoil it for those who are awaiting their’s still, but I will say, again, very well done. Would love if they offered the download like they did last year.
I won't spoil it either, but it was exactly what I thought it was going to be. I spun mine last night and this morning. Sounds pretty good, but lacks the energy of being at the show.

Funny to talk about how important sound quality is and then press on recycled vinyl. All of the recycled vinyl I have sounds terrible.
