The Vinyl Deals Thread (non-Amazon)
aopps42 replied to itsgoodtobefree's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I'm loving this particular sale. I feel like I shouldn't, since I've already bought a bunch from it, but it's hard to pass on. -
Now that's taking a stand!

90s Canadian Alternative/CanRock on Vinyl Thread
aopps42 replied to Sidney Crosley's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Keep hoping to see something about a vinyl press of Happiness is Not a Fish that You Can Catch. I wonder what the hold up is. Seems strange that they would do everything else but not that album.- 330 replies

The struggle is real. I just recently saw that they've had their worst ratings since the first season. I'm sure they've give them a little time, but we might be put out of our misery soonish it seems.

Rob Crow 2018 Joyful Noise Artist in Residence
aopps42 replied to hori's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I'm a big Rob Crow fan, mostly from Pinback and Thingy, but $150 +s/h in February and I don't get the records for another 9 months? Nah. -
They had a good run for awhile, with good discounts and their prices were lower, seems like now even with the discount the prices are the same as everywhere else. I bought a ton of shit from them a few years ago.

The Official 'Vinyl Me, Please' thread.
aopps42 replied to Deoxitizer's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Been planning to sign back up, but keep putting it off with these releases they've had the last few months. Devotion is a great album if you don't already have it, but I think I bought my copy for maybe $12-14 a couple of years after it came out. -
Oh man, these sold out quickly. Bummed to have missed out.

Shiner is releasing The Egg on vinyl plus tour
aopps42 replied to nothingnatural's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Where did you see this? Curious since Shiner's IG account was who alerted me to this repress, and indicated that they were getting a few copies themselves to sell on the US side. -
PO: My Bloody Valentine - Loveless and Isn't Anything

I'm saying. I was going to order it yesterday to end the wait for this to be available states side and noticed the shipping cost almost as much as the record. Not going to to do it. -

Best US cities for record stores?
aopps42 replied to vhderson's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I was going to make that same recommendation. I live in the burbs of Detroit and there's not anything worth coming from out of town for, in my opinion. There are some good (Street Corner Music, Found Sound, UHF, Stormy, Dearborn Music) but not great stores around. Plus for most of those stores, they're all pretty far apart and without any public transit to speak of, you'd be hard pressed. Chicago would be a much better pick in my opinion.
