This month is the first time I have used the member store. I purchased two copies of Pinkerton a week or so ago, and then a separate order for the Avalanches on Friday. Over the weekend I got a shipping notification. Is there any way for me to check what was in that shipment? (the notification just says MULTIPLE) Will they have sent all the records at once, or more likely just the copies of Pinkerton, with the Avalanches to follow later? The reason I ask is that the records are being shipped to a forwarding address in the states then get sent to NZ. If there's two separate shipments, it's more cost effective to wait till they all arrive and ship together. I wasn't expecting anything to ship till next month.

The last month or so has become a little expensive between online orders (Radiohead, Norma Jean, Avalanches) and serendipitous finds in local stores. Real Groovy in Auckland got an OP copy of Frances the Mute in on a trade. I have never seen a copy in store in Auckland, so I went and checked it out and ended up bringing it home. Not a cheap, but a fair price.

Has anyone who purchased their copy through Rough Trade received theirs yet, and if so can confirm what pressing they received?

I have upgraded my upgrade already. The lack of bass was bothering me, so I jumped on a fairly cheap pair of pretty much new KEF Q100's on @allenh's recommendation. I also purchased some steel Mission speaker stands with floor spikes. I am really pleased with the results. The KEF's are a big improvement on the Missions 780SE's and definitely give the punch that felt lacking before. Hopefully as the new 2M Blue runs in, there will be further improvement (there's only about 2 hours on it at present).

I passed on AFI Sing the Sorrow when it was still in the Adeline Records online shop. "Ah, I'll get around to picking that up at some point"... Nope!

I've just fitted an Ortofon 2M Blue to my turntable, and now have it all set up and aligned after discovering I needed to upgrade my counterweight to the 75g one. To my ears, out of the box it sounds like an improvement over my OM10. It does sound a little harsh at times, is this something that is likely to mellow out/soften once it is run in (I have read it needs about 30-50 hours to run in).

Argh, I am trying to take up a crate membership, but New Zealand is not an option on the country list :/ I'd rather not have to use my US forwarding address.
