  1. How about this deal! http://www.ebay.com/itm/TAKING-BACK-SUNDAY-Louder-Now-VINYL-2009-/172016407016?&_trksid=p2056016.m2516.l5255 You would think for $1,500 they could take the time to put real photos up and some sort of description.
  2. Here's the top part. The list goes on... no vinyl listed though.
  3. This is every pressing from New Zealand punk band Sommerset (except test presses). Took a while to track down the 7"s, especially the split. There's one album that hasn't been pressed (CD only); I'd love it if they pressed it, but I highly doubt it will happen.
  4. Cheers! I really like where that track is going
  5. For people that know more about Ryan Adams than I do... Any word on the follow up to the 1984 7"? Also, any ideas what the clip posted to instagram yesterday might be from, an upcoming album? or another of the 7" series? https://www.instagram.com/p/-NqbMgTDNw/?taken-by=misterryanadams
  6. For those of you that like surf music; described as "for surfers by non-surfers". The band is made up of members of The Bronx and Mariachi el Bronx and others. Pretty cool stuff. http://www.poundedbythesurf.com/ The LP is up on the Bronx Webshop from today, http://thebronxxx.shop.musictoday.com/Dept.aspx?cp=47984_80396 Their Pyles Sessions videos are worth checking out:
  7. I had my faulty set replaced (Via amazon). It took quite a few politely worded messages back and forth though. Full credit to them for fixing the issue so long after purchase.
  8. I finally got around to picking up a copy of the Siamese Dream reissue. My copy has pops and clicks all through it, and a fair amount of background noise. I have given it a good clean and it hasn't gotten any better? Has anyone else found that with theirs?
  9. Will be grabbing this for sure. Really hoping for Redeemer soon! Also, really looking forward to the new album.
  10. Just watched the Maida Vale show from earlier this month. The new drummer looks slightly terrified;she doesn't look as comfortable or naturally rhythmic behind the drums as Matt.
  11. Exciting news, will pick this up for sure. I really enjoyed Four. Silent Alarm is right up there on my Want List, but I can't bring myself to spend over $100 on it. Bring on a repress! I still need to pick up Intimacy also. They are one of my favourite live bands.
  12. I figure this is a long shot, but.... I'm looking to pick up an OP (numbered) copy of this album for non-ebay crazy prices. Hit me up if you're looking to part with your copy. Cheers!
  13. Has there been any indication how many signed copies went up for sale via Amazon?
  14. I grabbed one of the amazon.co.uk exculsive copies that were for sale a couple of weeks ago...
  15. Pretty excited about a follow up for 1984. I do not want to miss out on picking up this one!
  16. Success! The table is done and I'm really happy with the results both stopping the needle skipping and how it looks. I can stomp around freely now without it affecting the needle at all. (Pics below) Now, this is probably a stupid question, but... does it make a difference which way up I place the balls? Would having them one way up be more effective than the other? Right now you can see i have them facing up (widest part of the ball against the surface of the shelving unit)
  17. This was at work when I arrived this morning...
  18. Happy day today, my signed copy was at work when I arrived this morning! (slightly pissed off the bottom left hand corner got pretty bent by the postal service :/)
  19. For a 2xLP it will be between $20-$22 depending on the weight of the jacket and inserts. (I buy records from the states waaay to much, haha). If it arrives before the 12th of Sept there is a 20% off coupon. (apologies for the thread drift)
  20. Same here... I was using YouShop and consolidating parcels, but that's gotten more and more expensive lately.
  21. I was having the same issue. I have had good results so far with just half squash ball. I'm still planning on making a table to sit the turntable on to keep everything stable... Thread over here if you're interested. Will update that thread with progress. http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/115613-fixing-my-isolation-issue/
  22. Update: I went and picked up stuff to make an MDF table with squash ball feet (cut in half). I bought a couple of Dunlop Pro balls. Just to try it out, I put balls under the feet of the turntable. Awesome result; it has taken away all of the skipping, I can literally jump on the floor next to the unit and the needle doesn't skip. I will still make the MDF table as I'm not crazy about precariously balancing the turntable feet on the squash balls. Very happy with the result so far!
