I've been eyeing up a copy of the Superunknown 2014 reissue at my local record store, as finding an OP in New Zealand is next to impossible (This one I think https://www.discogs.com/Soundgarden-Superunknown/release/8720063) . Just wondering what is off with the reissue and if it's worth picking up...

Thanks for the replies. Following on from that. Any suggestions for a set of headphones that sound good in the $100-150 range that will run ok through the 40W Rotel RA-935BX amp?

I guess my question is do I need a seperate headphone amp? Or will simply plugging headphones into my current amp work (with the speakers wired up to the remote terminals)? Edit: as I typed that, it seems like a really dumb question. However I guess I asked as it seems like a lot of people add components to their systems (DAC's?) for headphones. Is that because you get better sound through those, or that their amp's don't have a headphone output?

A question about headphones... I'm looking to add headphones to my setup and wondering if I am ready to go with the amp I have already, or need a separate headphone amp? Current set up: Pro-ject P1.2 w/ Ortofon 2M Blue - Pro-ject Phono Box - Rotel RA-935BX - KEF Q100 My amp has a headphone jack (6.35mm) on the front, the manual says to use the "Remote Speaker" outputs for headphone only output.

Love their prices... hate their packaging. I ordered 3 records which got sent in their shitty corrugated cardboard envelopes (they are barely envelopes). The enveloped turned up empty, the records have just fallen out somewhere in transit. Simply gluing two pieces of cardboard doesn't really cut it! We'll see if they will resend the records and not think I am trying to scam them!

Just opened and played my VMP pressing. I'm getting distortion on the (female?) vocals at the beginning of Because I'm Me and very slightly on the male vocals. Has anyone noticed this as well, or lack there of on their pressing? Will try and upload a video.

So... Two copies have just popped up on Discogs. Both claiming to be 2016 reissues, one seller from Germany (36.95 EUR) and the other from the Netherlands (32.95 EUR) - both appearing to be reputable sellers. I have jumped on one, and asked for pictures/more details. The second is still there. I haven't seen anything about a reissue. This seems to be a 'too good to be true situation', but will see what info comes back from the seller as to whether this is legit.

I have an OP of DOTU, but it is warped. Will probably grab the repress at some stage, it doesn't seem like they'll be too limited.

Sigh. My copy arrived today (Optimal from Rough Trade), it was white which is a good start. A small amount of noise on A and B, but nothing out of the normal. Side C however has the same issues lots of people have had, and Glass Eye is not good, definitely sounds like a defect that cleaning wont resolve. For those of you who have a black copy, are you finding the same issues?
