put an extra large book against the bookends, then the records.... i had some records in milk-crates that were stored away for a few years... a couple of them were not quite full and a few of the records in those ones leaned, maybe even less than what's in that picture above, and they had some warp to them when I pulled them out last spring... keeping them straight and firmly supported is very important

i also ordered mine late in the game and have not received a shipping confirmation yet, so I have been watching the various 'shipping dates' (ie: when the restocks arrive) on German sites. The soonest I've seen is 2 - 3 weeks with the average about 3 to 4 weeks as of today, which considering just a couple days ago they all said 6+ weeks, with some saying April or May, I am guessing there has been a rush to push them out... so they are coming, no doubt about that! Either way, i am also frustrated at the hype/rush/cash-in side of all this... of course I would like mine to show up ASAP, but in the mean time we are all able to hear the new songs in a variety of ways... not to mention his seemingly endless other classics to hold us over... so why stress, rush, over-pay and support the douchebags that are flipping, and generally freak out about getting this on vinyl now, now, now (and who cares about a variant, I don't sit and stare at the color of the record while it plays... though a good smoke and staring at a spiraled center label can be fun).... we'll all get a copy in time, it's not like we can't enjoy the music in the interim... Blackstar has really grown on me after a few listens... kind of like most of my favorite albums, it didn't click, until it DID click, and when it hits there's no turning back!! yea, it was originally a BFRSD release, although I don't think exclusive. I have mine pre-ordered. I am not really a Ben Lee fan, but I love this one. looking forward to it, hopefully it makes the new December release date.

i havent received mine from the Eels Uk store -> shipping to Germany, but I expect that to take longer, and anyway, I've almost always had to wait extra long for orders from places like gomerch, music direct, my play direct and the various stores artists tend to use these days. Actually I can't remember the last time something I pre-ordered didn't arrive until well after the release date. I'd contact them to see where its at....

yea of course the hoffman forum has the most detailed info! i've played through all of them except ESBS and all have been flawless. Quiet, with rich highs and lows. Excellent all around!

to quote myself: sucks waiting while others have theirs.... to make it worse, I guess I must of have ordered from Amazon uk back at the beginning, because yesterday I got s ship notice, and today i got a package. shipped from the amazon de store, though ordered from the uk store...good because, I will return this, since I ordered from the Eels UK shop with prints... but... those of you that have gotten prints, were they packaged extra? ie: you did not have to open the box set to pull the prints out? If they are extra, I may go ahead an open my amazon one, and return the web shop version to amazon when it comes. I dont want to open this if i am just sending it back though. but if the prints are extra I wont have to sit and stare at the box... plus, if there are any pressing issues with the one I have now (has anybody come across any problems?), I will have a back up and be able to still send this back if there are issues.

i dont want him dead either, and especially don't want his death to come in such a lame, unheroic fashion.... but..... if they say he survived that I will be pissed. having him live sends it into really bad, super lame and unrealisitc (yes even for a zombie show) tv trope territory. It is by all means possible that was the other guy on top, but... he wouldnt have realistically landed on him in a way that covered him completly. He'd have some legs or arms or feet munched on at mimium if those weren't his guts they was all up in. I didnt want him dead, but I really dont want him back based on some lame way of him not getting devoured with hunderds of zombies all around him. That is an interesting theory up top that leads it back into comic book territory for him to survive then die, but.... i hope they don't start going down the miraculous unbelievable survival rabbit hole, it's a lame road to walk down..

i was just thinking about that... whether it actually arrives on release day has to do with the post... and i've so often had things arriving days after. sucks watching all the talk and seeing picture of something you're excited for all over the place while you are waiting! hopefully they are shipping out to arrive early or on time. regarding the prints... pretty sure they were only through official store, and pretty sure if when you ordered it said including prints, you are getting them. I noticed that after awhile the (UK) webstore-preorders changed from w/pints to no mention of prints (on the box sets anyway, last I checked the single issues in the store still said including the prints), so if your order says 'including prints' you'll get them, if not I am pretty sure you missed them.

sure give it a shot. Try one and see how it turns out. if it looks nice, do them all. I've had plenty of records with minor label issues, and if these look nice then it should be fine. I've had minor and major releases (feist and sigur ros) that have even had labels on the wrong sides Things happen with presses. If it plays good, that should be what matters. I know this has place a ton of people that will want a new (replacement) record for the most superfical reasons, but especially since this sounds like a crowd funded type thing, or at least people that cared enough to pre-order, I would assume they will be fine with any minor flaws as long as the music plays with no issue!

LOVING the look of this. Excited to fill in Daisies of the Galaxy and Shootenanny into my collection... plus that Electroshock Blues Show!!!!!!!! Uk store was cheaper than the German seller I used by a few Euros, plus the prints = Ordered from Eels webstore... Before I cancel my local order, do I have to watch out for customs shipping from the UK to Germany or is that a free trade zone? I am not from here, so I don't really know the rules. I had a rather large customs charge on something from the US (from Amazon) several years ago, and if I get charged customs on this it wont be worth that charge just for the prints!! But, I have no experience with this, and am assuming, or hoping, UK to Germany wont have the potential for a customs charge!!! Will it?

I often forget to check them, and they tend to get things places like HHV and Bol don't in Germany! i actually had gone to Amazon uk to order because I just couldn't put off waiting for something local anymore, and I see they are off Amazon now. I got on here and found the JPC info... SOOO HAPPY! And seeing Electro-Shock Blues Show in there, I just about jumped, well I DID jump up and immediately started playing the cd for my wife...a good way to ease her into the 144 euro price tag...... hopefully it comes down, but, yea... a must have for this household!!

wow, I am surprised at some of the negative views on their recent stuff. Except for Wilco (the Album), which I admit I havent gone back to give another shot since it came out, I have dug every single thing they have done, and across all their line-up changes. The early, and Bennet years, are probably the best overall, but I absolutely LOVE 'The Whole Love'!! Maybe not every song, but I thought it was a solid turn for them and a great album on the whole. Different, but freaking good! I really only scanned this new one last night and it didn't grab me, but I am encouraged by some of the discussion here... gonna give it a good solid spin this evening....

I could care less about the last five pages of whining about not getting free stuff. when I started looking at the thread from the Sale post forward, it looks like a mix of multiple conversations. without the benefit of reading back, not something I am interested in doing considering it seems to be 5 pages of b.s., i did think sale orders were being canceled. Total internet fail!! OMG!

what are you talking about being cancled? this recent (July 15?) vinyl sale? My order is sitting pretty, waiting... I ordered 3 items... 2 should ship right away, the third, The Strokes, has a ship date of the end of August. That one I guess I may worry about, but I am not geting why these would all be being canceled... or are you guys talking about something from earlier in the thread?

I'm done here in Germany,. Only thing I really wanted was the Frank OST. My shop didnt get one The owner greeted everybody before opening the doors and seemed a little resigned about the fact there were so many more stores participating, and so many limited releases, they didnt get close to the amount of releases they wanted/ordered. Too bad. I know I am not the most active here, but if anybody in the U.S. gets a extra FRANK OST, I would be grateful! I have a U.S. address I would have you ship it to so I don't have the crazy international shipping on top of the albums cost. If there is anything EU,Germany needed, I can check back at my two locals, shipping isn't super cheap, but it's cheaper to the US than out of. Good luck to everybody getting up and heading to their stores!!

There shouldn't be any confusion then, if you payed attention to what you ordered. Whether discogs is acurate or not is one thing, but the entry does have multiple images and the MOV version also has Water Tower on it.
