    It's almost 5am. I'm almost tempted to stay up, keep drinking, and do laundry drunk. Probably going to pass out though. I will never understand how my girlfriend gets up at 7am every Saturday to go do laundry. People with normal sleep schedules freak me out.

    Greg Horbal of My Heart to Joy and The World is a Beautiful Place coined the term as a joke and it caught on. I like to think its how he got the nickname "Shitty Greg"

    I only saw 50/50 once but I definietely got choked up. Luckily walking out of the theater an older lady said "That was good but I don't think they needed all that swearing!" and it was just the right amount of levity I needed before going back into the world.

    They were End of a Year, then they changed it to Self Defense Family. They put out a couple 7"s as "End of a Year Self Defense Family" as a transition.

    I have listened to these songs so many fucking times it's not even funny. Also, that Penfold band sounds like Mineral and that is dope.

    I fucking love that song but I can definitely get why people don't dig it. It sounds nothing like their EOAY stuff though.

    They're from around where I grew up and I'm really pissed at myself for writing off as "scene bullshit" and never going to their shows back around 04-05. Their LPs Sincerely and YABM are so fucking good. They've abandoned that style as Self Defense Family and are consistently awesome, but it's a bummer they've pretty much disowned their older emo-ish stuff.

    I got my teenage coworker who only listens to rap into Pig Destroyer and I have never felt more accomplished. My go to album recommendation is End of a Year - You Are Beneath Me because everyone needs to listen to it.

    I'm definitely recommending that band to my girlfriend, pretty sure she'll dig it a lot. My favorite albums are all pretty cliche and everyone has heard them. Converge - Jane Doe and The Cure - Disintegration

    I wish I could live like this still. I miss my early 20s of doing whatever the fuck I wanted and being able to function on little to no sleep. Now if I go to work with less than 7 hours of sleep I feel like death.
