SRA in collaboration with Don Giovanni Records is proud to present the debut full length recording from Exmaid.
Exmaid began as the songwriting vehicle for Miranda Taylor, a mainstay of the New Jersey punk scene, formerly of Hunchback, Black Wine, and Full of Fancy. As Miranda began circulating demos of what would become the bulk of Fair Sex, she approached Philadelphia post-punk trio Psychic Teens to collaborate and help to flesh out her musical vision. The result retains Miranda’s sweet yet immediate vocal delivery while at the same time expanding the project’s palate to incorporate primal riffing and bleary-eyed noise rock. After playing dozens of shows across the Northeast, the foursome eagerly to entered the studio in Summer 2017 to record their debut full-length.
 
Within the first few seconds of the album opener “Vamp,” Exmaid scrapes and claws for your undivided attention with anthemic grunge and light and dark (mostly dark) imagery. But over Fair Sex’s ten tracks, there are enough twists and turns to allow Exmaid to show off their musical arsenal while keeping the focus on Miranda’s precise and personal song-crafting style. With Exmaid poised to spend 2018 playing to as many audiences as possible, you can expect that Fair Sex will become the soundtrack to convenience store hangs, skate sessions, shitty parties, awesome parties, and the next American Revolution.

I don't think shipping "went up" on everything.  They appear to be charging more for items of a certain weight.  I played around a little bit and could add 10 single LPs with no shipping increase, but anytime I added a 2xLP it seemed to jump by about $1.

I received my order from Sigur Rós online store, both – Takk & ( ) – arrived safe and sound. But my copy of ( ) has those issues. I recorded some clips (from the output of my stereo to Mac/Audacity). There is a small amount of noise on side A, but very bad on sides C and D.

I asked the people at Sub Pop about whether or not there would be a "loser edition" on this, here is the response I got:
 
"The set itself is limited edition and will include black vinyl on 180 gram weight. There will not be colored vinyl available for this release as we wanted to preserve the highest audio quality we could, but the boxset version of these reissues will be the limited edition piece worth collecting. Thanks!"

Did anyone get a shipping confirmation yet?

I never did post a photo of my record room after selling my old shelves (that everyone here loved but sadly they outlived their usefulness due to space constraints and the fact that my fiance demanded that i keep the vault contained to one room). Here's the new room as of a week or so ago. I redid the room last spring, my lady liked the expedits in white so we went out and grabbed enough to fill the room.
 
At some point that 2x4 is going to be replaced by a 4x4 when I run out of room in the existing shelves. I don't give a shit about that window being blocked as I have never opened it. The current total count of records is a little shy of 10,000. I think I will have a party to celebrate when I hit the 10k mark.
 
Most of the old shelves are still in service over at Logan Hardware in Chicago. I kept a couple of them up in my office for the mailorder stuff.
