  1. As far as I or the good folks over at the fat wreck wiki know, the most limited pressing (other than tests) of Liberal Animation is red, not blue. The blue pressing was limited to 700, while the red is limited to <10.
  2. Also, great song by Propagandhi. Note to self: Listen to "Note to Self" later.
  3. Yeah. Fat Mike said they'd be hitting the mid-mid and north-south parts of the country but I suppose Seattle and Portland aren't important enough. I'll try to make it down to SF for this. If it's feasible.
  4. We are talking about customers of Third Man Records here, yanquiuxo.
  5. If you change your mind and do want to drop some significant money on this, the VPI Scout will play 78s after a pulley change. I met a guy at RSD this year who got a secondhand one for about a grand.
  6. Or... you could cover my gas, I'll send you the record, and bring my copy of the Stooges so bhoussock and I can listen to it without you having to send him one! Might be a few more bucks for gas though.
  7. Stooges is pretty cool. It sounds like it was recorded from the audience, which is fine I guess, but not what I expected. The color is very nice: it was described as black/white "spatter" but it's actually a black/white/gray smash. Pretty heavy, too. Oh, and there's a pretty cool segment before the music starts of some people on what I assume is the bus to the show talking about Iggy Pop and his stage antics. And the poster is definitely something I'd pay like $10 for, which makes me feel a little better about spending $25 on a single LP. I didn't mean to say Social Distortion wasn't a good album - but I'd pay $30 for a new press of Mommy's Little Monster before the self-titled. Nice rhyme though.
  8. I picked up the Stooges, Grandmaster Flash/Stiff Little Fingers at Mike Watt, which is all I really wanted to pay for. Passed on Social Distortion's $30 price tag because it's not even that good of an album. Very, very disappointed that Grandmaster Flash's side of "The Message" is censored. Fucking bullshit.
  9. It's interesting how only one person got on Ry Bread's ass for saying "retarded" while the rest of the usually-keyboard-warriors stayed quiet.
  10. This is probably the most eloquent takedown of anything I've ever seen.
  11. I would be, too. Stay safe. There will probably be an all-white jury and testimonies from his (former) fellow officers as character witnesses. The cell phone video will likely not be admitted as evidence. If it is, the integrity of the cameraman will be called into question because he fled the scene in fear of his life. Best-case scenario, I think he'll be charged with voluntary manslaughter. I think an acquittal is much more likely.
  12. He will be acquitted. So call it preemptive protesting.
  13. Right on. My only bootleg is Led Zeppelin Live on Blueberry Hill, because it will never see an official release and I personally think that bootlegs from the 60s, 70s and 80s are very cool.
  14. I loved Season 4. The tone of the whole season was even stranger than usual (if that's possible with Louie) and even with a six-part episode about some pretty mundane shit, it all held up very well. Louis CK really is a genius.
  15. It should be like Led Zeppelin's In Through the Out Door. It should even say: "Led Zeppelin In Through the Out Door." Then nobody will buy it, because Led Zeppelin is not as cool as Brand New.
  16. I can never see that guy and his stupid hair as anybody other than Mayor Hale, his character in Sons of Anarchy. I just can't take him seriously.
  17. Yeah, the point is that RSD just isn't about independent stores, no matter how much Jack White (fuck him), Chuck D or Dave Grohl want to insist that it is. It's about the money.
  18. I'm not a comic reader so I could be remembering wrong, but I think this has been explored recently in the comics to the extent that some new foes "poison" their weapons with zombie blood.
  19. Steven Ogg (who voiced-acted Trevor in GTA V) was in this week's episode. He was the thug with two guns in the parking garage. It took me a minute to place him, but I knew I recognized his voice and face from somewhere.
  20. It went from about $650 to $3600 in the last minute of the auction.
  21. This is an interesting take on it, but
