This stuff always brings out the armchair psychologists. Vulnerability is uncomfortable to encounter, especially when it's done in a way that's different than how we'd do it or say it. I don't know this guy or what he's really going through but I'm reminded how vulnerability in others often serves as a mirror for ourselves. And how we respond to it/others says a lot more about us than him. Kudos to him for having the courage to put the worst moments/side of himself out there for all to see.  I respect that kind of courage, regardless of the uncomfortable feelings it elicits in me.

As a gay woman, it’s really not always as simple as “I’m secure enough”. You being able to appreciate an attractive person of the same gender is really not the same as someone struggling with their sexuality.

I dunno if you gave it more than one listen but it didn’t do much for me the first time through but then it kept growing on me.
 
Curious what you’ve been high on lately if this didn’t do it for you.  I haven’t checked out a lot of post-rock this year so I need some goodies.

I'm a fan of the stupid bleeping in Trapped In Dillards. After 4 listens the only song I'm not head over heels for is Crown Candy. The whole album is a middle ground between Foxing and Smidley. I hoped that wouldn't happen because a few of the Smidley songs are terrible but they did it and I was wrong which is cool.

Definitely the best to date. Didn’t think that would happen because I love Dealer so much but this album is so unique. The bagpipes in Bastardizer, the synthy pop vibes in Heartbeats and Trapped In Dillard’s. Also Lich Prince and Won’t Drown are my their top tracks from this album.

Lich Prince is probably my favorite song, followed by Grand Paradise. Bastardizer is really good too but it took a few listens for me to notice how god damn good it is. I'm completely blown away by this album and I've been listening to it non stop. Dealer was my favorite album of 2015 and this will probably end up as my favorite album of 2018

Is this the best Foxing record to date?  I think this may be the best Foxing record to date.

I love TSD. It's not as strong as Now Here is Nowhere, but it has it's defining moments ( All At Once [It's Not Important], I Hate Pretending, Faded Lines, 1000 Seconds). To me though, the self titled is one of their best releases. I hope that they do a repress of that because my copy sounds like ass. 

I hope they press it and then Amazon ends up selling a bunch of copies for 10 bucks again like they did with Now Here is Nowhere. 

They did a stellar job on Now Here Is Nowhere by Secret Machines, and now Ten Silver Drops has a chance to be pressed as well.

Also, the email said if this title gets pressed, expect a little something that will delight fans.  The band has been teasing studio stuff, so I know a new album is on the way (reworked unreleased album, at least)

Yup and still cleaning up for how great this was. Seriously, really into this album, and then Mosaic came on and knocked my drink over my desk. This is good shit. 
 

GOOD. Dreamhouse had some fiddly diddly riffs on it, but the vocals made it sound samey and run of the mill post-hardcore. I'm waaay into this more now.

Have to agree. Violent Waves is a masterpiece, and Descensus and The Amulet are solid albums.

Not sure if I was supposed to burn or trash my Brand New records but I revisited SciFi for the first time in a while and very much enjoyed it.

I'm also gonna be honest, at least a few  if not several hundred of those upvotes came from shit posting in Brand New threads.
