Saw the first single on SNL, wasn't really feeling it. Barely listened to Concrete & Gold either, and didn't find a whole lot to love in Sonic Highways. Maybe I just don't like this band anymore? The first three records are still top notch, as is Wasting Light, however.

Brother, I am with you! Nirvana is absolute genius, but Mr. Grohl should have stopped making music after his mentor and leader passed. He's a great drummer, but he should have stuck to his weapon of choice...

Guys. I've seen a lot of this lately. And thought to myself : "Man, why are people just going to threads of bands they, to their own right, do not like at all, and commenting about how much they do not like said band? It must be super fun or satisfying in some way. So, as the natural born 'follower' or 'easily influenced' person that I am, will be conducting an experiment by going to as many threads as possible and dissing the band. Look forward to the experience! Wish me luck! ✌️

I've recently been dealing with this alot as both a musician and record collector. For the past few years, record collecting has really helped me discover some great new music, and sometimes from genres, that in the past, I wouldn't have necessarily tried. But then there's been this weird other thing thats happened: due to an artist being popular in the VC realm or a good review from melonhead on YouTube, i'd go spend the money on a new release or pre-order. And at first, i'd be into it. But then eventually I' forget about it. I think mainly because I grew up on the likes of Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, The Wonder Years, The All-American Rejects. Bands that were LOUD. And as a drummer, that was always something that clicked with me, listening to music that's loud and energetic.
 
So yea, every now and then, a good breakdown from a band like Bring Me The Horizon still gives me chills and gets the adrenaline going enough to go play music, get that hit of dopamine and be happy. Nothing wrong with that IMO. 
 
So I say, fuck em. Listen to what you want, buy what you want. Don't let this idea that the older you get the more "mature" you're music tastes have to be. I'll be a proud 50 year old in slip on vans listening to blink-182 (looking like a complete idiot) as long as it makes me happy.

Also - I wonder if this will include the new full band version of "Save Us" or the original piano only version. Personally, I enjoyed the piano version from the initial CD I had of this. But may be just me.

Yeah its OOS everywhere. I even tried calling local record shops and nothing. Some other weird stuff is going for a decent amount now too after looking through my collection on discogs like B4.DA.$$ by Joey Bada$$ is going for over $100 now too. I'm on the hunt for Meteora though, gonna try a few other shops today
