It's true, inflation is the very topic. Yes, I know when you line it up prices are pretty similar. I'm not saying it's bad necessarily - just wondering if it's sustainable (since the situation has changed in other regards since 1970 - music is free or cheap, food is cheaper, but housing is a lot more, low wages much lower, wealth gap much greater) - wondering if sellers have cold feet, as buyers seem to. If buyers were snapping up $30-40 records like they were snapping up $23 records, I wouldn't be posting this. They aren't.

I could've sworn there was a thread on here a handful of years ago about "HD Vinyl" or some crap that was supposed to be a cheaper and faster new method to press records, but I can't find it now.
But like OP said, the pressing prices haven't skyrocketed. I always thought the fact that there are only a few plants in existence was causing all the major delays and mark-ups. It sucks some indie bands are charging $40 for a self released record via bandcamp because that's the going rate at Target. Like yeah, secure the bag, but don't overshoot the moon.

This is like an adult contemporary version of TBS which as an adult resonates more with me. 

My only concern is manufacturing costs will not decrease. Like it's been said here, I'm buying less and less. I now keep a list of titles I'm interested in that I'm not a die-hard fan of so I can keep an eye on sales and promotions.

As a consumer, I am buying less and less. I went from about 6+ a month to 1 or 2. The prices are way out.of control. The bottom is gonna fall put. This is from someone who was buying records back when they were 5.99 new. I honestly just stream shit.on Spotify now.

Digital album art is reminiscent of the TOYPAJ "mug shots". Listened to that 1:15:00 interview they posted on YouTube. Really excited to hear this long last/redone Boxcar song (Terrified), and to hear the hardcore song Travis wrote/sings.

Super happy the production isn't fucked on those two songs like the last few albums. Genuinely surprised by both these songs. Really looking forward to the album now.

Wow… “More Than You Know” is genuinely sick.  I kept preparing myself for them to fuck it up with some gross glitchy electronic shit like they’d do on California or Nine, but they didn’t. Great track.

To preface: I'm an addict for dramatics...
"One More Time" got me feeling some kind of way. Seeing them revisit all those videos and knowing every single one, coupled with the lyrics (and not to mention a great song to boot), was just really touching. Also, is that Travis singing too????? Very cool. "More Than You Know" was giving me strong self-titled vibes and I'm all here for it. 
IMO, these are miles ahead from "Edging", and man am I glad. Cant wait for October 20th!! 

Really liking this Little Fires single. 

I'm glad they aren't doing cheesy Modern Baseball-esque pop punk guitar leads anymore, but this record is following suit with the modern "vibe" music trend where everything needs to be sonically chill enough to play at the background of a party filled with faux mullets and dangly TikTok earrings. I was hoping the majority of the record would be more similar to the Haunted single, but this is the same direction Graduating Life went with their final LP. I'll take this sound over the hyper oversaturated synthetic nightmare bands like The National have moved into, but it's becoming a bit derivative.
The lyrics on this album are really good though, the writing is definitely more grown-up compared to the last LP. I'm hopeful it'll click with me, but right now it feels like I'm going out of my way to listen to this record.
