So... Thanks all for your advice! Especially those on topic. Condoleances appreciated mainly because it says good things about those of you who left them and the forum. Re the ribbing, I'm on enough forums to recognize the jargong among the initiated. Same goes for discussions sliding into meta territory about the forum, what it was, is and should or shouldn't become...
In the end, I'll try for the advice from NapalmBrain and SomethingVinyl, post my current list to ebay and see if anyone bites.  Current list as following, in case anyone's interested. May update it with additional items. Cheers everyone, and thanks again! I just may stick around this forum

With the HMV takeover being confirmed,  they have just announced the stores that are set to close, including Oxford Street.  Fopp in Earlham Street appears to have survived however, a good stock of regular releases and handy if you are on your way to Forbidden Planet.

HMV haven't 'bitten the dust' quite yet, there's twenty interested parties who have signed NDAs and the deadline for bids is midnight Wednesday. I imagine they'll either get bailed out by the labels/suppliers, or someone will buy them out and streamline the company some more. 
 
The online sale is just standard January sale stuff, nothing's going to be outrageously discounted unless they properly shut down.

Shipping time from the US to the UK is about 3 weeks at the moment, Christmas mail etc, so probably about the same going the other way. Look to have just received my Stranger in the Alps, or more specifically a card through the door telling me I've been hit with a customs charge, again.
