if it's mostly classical, discogs is a terrible place to sell. The prices are completely inaccurate on most titles, barring a couple highly sought after titles like witches' brew or the soria set of the royal ballet gala. I would recommend ebay, search completed sales or popsike to see what they went for. The big 4 labels are mercury living presence, rca victor (shaded dog and red dog labels), EMI and london/decca (FFRR or FFSS). Also some Deutche Grammophone (mostly the tulip label). Mostly only stereo pressings are worth anything, the exception being titles originally recorded only in mono. There are other boutique labels and even some specific titles on budget labels that are worth money but these are broad guidelines for evaluating a classical collection for sale. The Skull Snaps reissue on Mr. Bongo that came out a couple months back is really good, nice packaging, flat pressing and sounds great. I can't compare to an original or the scorpio, but I'd guess since members of the band were involved this was pressed from a better source than the scorpio. Well worth the $25 price tag

I try to find stuff on the cheap. Buying collections usually allows me to find stuff I want. It's pretty rare I will drop any real money on records. I sold records in Jackson, MS at the beginning of the month. Then just one week later, I sold records at our local record show called Record Raid. Did pretty well so I treated myself on this mofo. Eldridge Holmes is a NO soul guy who worked with Toussiant. This is a fucking jam where the piano rips because of that hook:

Just picked up Bloody Kisses for $39.99 shipped and Sweetheart of the rodeo for $66.99 shipped. There are still good (normal) prices to be had out there.

The prevalence of warping will likely never be known as 1/3 of these were bought by tweens that don't own a turntable, 1/3 were purchased by vaporkids unconcerned with actual vinyl audio quality, and the final 1/3 are sitting in Todd's basement.

I play all of my records, even when I have multiple variants of something. It's my way of sort of justifying having them. I'm not gonna damage the test press by playing it, unless there's some freak accident as I'm handling it. Never going to sell it, so I might as well enjoy having it. 

I hope their album "houses of the holy" gets pressed too...

$1 each and buy 2 get 1 free at that, could not believe it. Been hunting that Pickett forever and never seen an original in the shrink. Y'all got to check out that James Phelps single it's so damn good. The Marva Lee was the only severely underpriced of the 7" but all were worthy additions to the collection
