  1. May I ask you for the info from the matrix/runout, please? Would be very interesting where this was cut/pressed.
  2. Maybe the song or the 12" Frances the Mute will be included this time making it one of the selling points? Judging from Cloud Hills' release policy it would not surprise me to see even a new 3LP reissue of that album with the track included instead of the etching...
  3. "Daisy" variant (/200) with a 4 track bonus 7 inch exclusively available from Thirty Something Records in Germany: https://thirtysomethingrecords.bigcartel.com/product/superbloom-life-s-a-blur-ep Tracklist Bonus 7" (comes exclusively with the "Daisy"-Variant): A01 Falling Up A02 Saints B01 Level Head B02 No Name (Saints/Level Head/No Name first time on vinyl)
  4. Is it the same matrix? They might assume people would be smart enough to find the actual differences? Oh well...
  5. I own the German pressing. The mastering is fantastic. Very dynamic, depth and a great soundstage. Very recommended.
  6. Savage Masters Repress Opaque Pink Clear w/ black wisps https://deathwishinc.com/collections/all/products/zozobra-savage-masters https://deathwishinc.eu/en-de/products/zozobra-savage-masters
  7. You seem to be talking about pressing quality. GZ Media has improved on that a lot over the last 4-5 years. They can press good records. See Tool - Fear Inoculum. I was discussing their in-house cuts though. Without any instructions by the label (like VMP) the cuts are made to avoid claims. Tool - Fear Inoculum was not cut by them by the way.
  8. It is widely known GZ Media tends to master and cut for the lowest common denominator to avoid playback issues on cheap turntables. So their cuts do not present the material to its full extent.
  9. We are the Romans was cut in-house and pressed at GZ Media. You cannot expect a good, loud or even dynamic cut from them unfortunately. Sounds lifeless and compressed as most of their cuts. No issues with pressing flaws (e.g. non-fill or stitching) with my copy though.
  10. I was thinking about cancelling my order but it is being shipped from Evil Greed now. I could reject the package but something deep inside of me wants to believe in a sort of delayed gratification for this. Didn't Nine Inch Nails sent special records to fans who ordered from them before? Maybe buyers will receive something special at a later time? I am just hoping because I am totally NOT into ambient or drone records at all... I mean this was 47 € incl. shipping. Pretty hefty price tag for being trolled...🤣
  11. I don't think it is a lathe cut. The center labels have pressing rings and a deeper stamper "indentation" (cannot remember what the actual term is). I see a longer runout etching in these pics. I don't think somebody would do that on 1000 copies manually. Edit: Preorder description says "produced at Studio 4 Vinyl." .They are not offering lathe cuts from what I can see.
  12. Are there any updates about the release date yet? PO said "Expected from the manufacturer in November, vinyl will ship soon after."
  13. I didn't notice the link was for a blog post but thought it was for the video by just looking at the title of the URL. That's why I did not open it. Rather reading too much was the problem here, I guess?
  14. It exists. I had it in my hands the other day at a record fair for 25 €. I was in doubt about it and I do not buy counterfeit releases. It was a sealed copy and the OBI strip said it was orange colored. The seller told me he got it from "a guy he knows" which was no official distribution channel. There is a Discogs entry for a black edition. I could not find the barcode or the label's catalog no. on any official sources on the web though. Runouts have (probably faked) Optimal Media matrix codes (BL4157201 A1 / BL4157201 B2) as well as a (well-faked imitation of) Chris Bellman's "CB" signature on the runout. Check the images on the Discogs entry below. On the release history and in the reviews a user states "it is unofficial edition, i contacted the Label for info... and confirmed THAT! it is Unofficial edition not produced by them...." https://www.discogs.com/release/20567197-Queens-Of-The-Stone-Age-Queens-Of-The-Stone-Age It just seems it is a very well-made counterfeit release.
  15. I think the hype sticker on that shot says: "Royal Blue and Milky Clear Butterfly effect with Splatter Edition" The barcode matches the with your Discogs link, too. I think every variant has a unique barcode. So it is that variant probably.
  16. Regular retail price for the white first pressing was the same. A couple slightly cheaper options are (both list December as well): https://www.flight13.com/turnstile-glow-on/144059 https://www.jpc.de/jpcng/poprock/detail/-/art/turnstile-glow-on/hnum/10670397
  17. German shop Green Hell is announcing a repress for December 2021.
  18. Always remove records from these sleeves permanently. Usually such sleeves are made of PVC which causes "outgassing". It will leave foggy markings on the record.
  19. It was cut in-house at GZ Media. Their cuts are always on the quiet side which sucks the life/enjoyment out of the records unfortunately.
  20. Craft Recording also put out Automatic for the people 25th anniversary. To me the E.U. pressing of it sounds terrible and I compared it to an OG pressing. Very lifeless and compressed unfortunately. I am talking about this one: https://www.discogs.com/REM-Automatic-For-The-People/release/11115961 They might have learned a lesson from it though and will not use GZ Media again.
