  1. Yeap, given how much hype RTJ has gotten since their last release, I suspect all the 'limited' versions to be gone before anyone has a physical copy in their hands.
  2. It was there 15 or so minutes ago. I think that Modern Vinyl tweet pushed it over the top.
  3. Not just you, I'm this way too. That being said, I could see someone who doesn't want their kids hearing the lyrics, or who doesn't like the vocals, to be interested. They would just collect dust for me.
  4. Looks like it is gone now, but at $200 for 3 versions of the same album, that's pretty pricey. Considering gold is standard, I'll wait for local version to show up here and make sure my record stores get a piece and avoid the shipping.
  5. Dec store opens on the 19th. I assume if you sign up for AOTM around then, you will be getting the January album and not Nina, no? That way you can get first dibs on the Dec store and get the Jan AOTM.
  6. You can also wait until the Nina's are sent out and hope that the January AOTM is more up your alley; and STILL get access to the DEC store.
  7. Sorry, wasn't taking a shot at you! Canada Post sucks enough for the people who live here so I'm sure they contribute to some delays!
  8. A 6 month delay is not Canada Post. It either got stuck at customs or was rerouted at some point. This issue with choosing ground to the UK isn't an issue with either postal service, it's the fact that shipping on a boat across the ocean takes time. Depending on when that boat leaves is where you see the large variability.
  9. Would grab this is I didn't have the boxset. Which I surprisingly don't go to as often as I would like... I'm a huge fan of their first three full-lengths. Haven't even cracked open OB/YC or Dog's Blood yet. Either way I'm hoping Dine Alone does a BF sale as there are a couple titles I have been on the fence about and should of grabbed when I was at Beau's Oktoberfest.
  10. I'd help out, but being in Canada adds costs you probably don't want to incur (i.e., probably $20 USD more for shipping). Frankly, with the $10 referral credit, you can get a great Nina Simone album almost everyone should have in their collection for $17, + access to the store to buy Ricky with FREE shipping. So for $38 USD you can get Nina Simone Sings the Blues + Ricky Eat Acid (or the next AOTM if you sign up after Nina Simone goes out), or you could hope someone helps you out for $21 + whatever shipping will be for just Ricky. Also, if Ricky doesn't sell out, it will be available to the public in January's store...
  11. Everyone receives the AOTM (Nina Simone), and you can purchase none, one ,or all the member store exclusives when the store opens, which is usually around the middle of the month. Remember that Albums of the Month are different than the member exclusives, which are limited and optional for members to purchase. For December, the store opens on the 19th at 12PM EST. So log in after that time and you can order Ricky!
  12. Totally mistyped that, but let's go with yes. I am Canada's increased sense of time. EDIT: Under 60
  13. Anyone else experience the same quality issues with the HMV pressing that I did? Well, not defective qualities, but more the fact my copy sounds flat as hell like is was mastered directly from a radio cut of the album...
  14. When you ordered from JPC, did it denote that it was the yellow version?
  15. Just grabbed it as I almost forgot with the VMP drop today... down below 800. Not sure these will last 25 hours.
  16. Really want that Avalanche reissue given you can't find it for under $200-300 bones. Interesting that he's still going back to the 90's well.
  17. Damn, I'm not sure I want to end my search for a reasonably priced OG copy of Dig Your Own Hole. To be honest, Exit Planet Dust, Surrender and Further can still be found around and not that pricey. I guess the colour variants add some flair...
  18. HMV Clumsy pressing sounds terrible. Flat as hell, and feels like I'm listening to the album on the Edge 102.1. No actual defects. I have another pressing which I am going to try out but I feel like these may have been made in haste...
  19. Definitely hoping to score this but am moving and want to bundle in Lucky Shiner. Either way, congrats to Ghostly on making an international store that reduces the cost of shipping multiple items north of the border!
  20. I'm in Canada and mine is very wonky as well. The tracking # they sent (the second e-mail) does't seem to exist and the first e-mail shows my package hasn't moved since 9/24.
  21. Definitely in on the Clumsy release (after first finding out if the pressing is legit). Growing up in Canada you couldn't go 15 minutes on MM without a OLP video popping up. Nostalgia central. Happiness is where I draw the line on their back catalog. .ca link for anyone interest: https://www.amazon.ca/Clumsy-Vinyl-Our-Lady-Peace/dp/B01LTHKKAM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1474412478&sr=8-3&keywords=our+lady+peace
  22. VMP has stated on their boards that for albums that sell out quickly, they have retroactively refunded those who have ordered a significant number of units. From a business stand point I never fully understood the Crate option, or at least how it was implemented, when they still wanted to focus on AOTMs. Many of their subscribers moved to the Crate model and simply didn't mind waiting a month to ensure the AOTM is one they want. It may cost more in $ per album, but reduces the overall $ you spend on albums you don't necessarily want. So from VMP's standpoint, I see their want to potentially remove the Crate subscription, or at least amend it to be more of a Crate option and separate out the AOTM member store from the Crate store, where leftovers are placed. Also, the idea that subscription services are for acquiring music taste is laughable. I subscribe to VMP because I have the disposable income to do so, not because I don't know what I like.
  23. Awesome. They really do maintain pretty top notch customer service, even though some of their pressings don't always come out as pristine as you would like. Tis the breaks of the hobby!
  24. Reach out to their customer support for a replacement. They are responsive and will most likely send you a set of replacement disks.
