Was also hoping for a boxset. Not sure The Faint's catalog really screams 'Best Of' album...

To be honest, I'm not sure they ever explicitly stated that the $6 fee was for shipping. There is a lot of overhead with running the business, including the store, forums, and working with distributors / getting things pressed; so I feel that is where the $6 goes (as well as trying to ensure all members don't just jump on a Crate membership that is free). A lot of people justify the $6 as the shipping fee so I can definitely see where you are coming from.

It should be there. Well's Fargo was in the last month's store so I assume BBNG will be there, but you get it a month after the member do.

Only people that I know that have to pay shipping are international subs (like myself) where we have to pay extra for each piece we order from the member store, even though they do come with our already fairly expensive member package ($33 USD / $43 CAD); so I'm curious to know where those charges came from.

They do this every month. However, if you are in the States, it should be free shipping on member store purchases, no? Or was it items from the 'garage sale'? The garage sale is public and may have required extra shipping costs as it does not require a membership or Crate subscription.

I assume they are just getting the new store/member portal rolling before sending a mass e-mail to thousands of subscribers asking them to reset their passwords. Give it time, and consider yourself lucky you pay attention enough to grab a leftover copy if possible. Also, the 'Sale' section is loaded with good stuff...

My guess is they wanted approximate pressing #s to avoid overstock or not having enough for those who want it. I'll take a delay like this anyday if it means everyone gets the pressing they want.

Thanks! I took it in this weekend and found the same observations. The guest tracks appear to break up any flow from the solo tracks. Feels more like a collection of songs then an album. Still some great moments.

Really curious who is pressing these. They look like MOV mock-ups but I can't find confirmation. Really hoping these sound better than the 2014 represses, but I'll hold out hope until someone reports back.

Man, right with RTJ Meow The Jewels, Flume's Skin is a lesson in patience as I hope those who ordered overseas were able to find it cheaper than the initial ordering/shipping costs. Curious if anyone has any impressions from the album? Seems to be getting mixed reviews. Heard it's too bloated from some.

Damn, I'd be happy with one of the ltd. edition versions released for this album. Will see if it shows up in store, but I expect it will cost double in store.

$36.99CAD+tax at Sonic Boom, which is about $32USD which isn't bad considering we usually have some form of markup up here. Also, received the phamplet and signed up for a draw to win one of the figurines from the Burn the Witch music video. Pretty neat.

For anyone in Toronto, I walked into Sonic Boom today and they notched me down for an indie variant pickup tomorrow and said they have a bunch more. Also, while 9000 is limited for Radiohead, I don't feel it is that limited given that there is also a deluxe version out there. For those tempted to overpay for an indie version, wait it out for a few days. I'm sure many are bound to pop up. Don't forget to check your local as well if you have that option!

Please update when you get it! I've been holding off on the Amazon.ca listing at $62CAD in hopes it would drop but it appears stock everywhere is disappearing, and some distributors are still showing a later release date. This is a can't miss repress for me, so I'm hoping the quality is there.

Great selection of exclusives this month. Going to be hard not to grab them all.

Inflated prices before the album is even released, or physical media in in their hands. Classic. Future prices will highly depend on if this is any good or not. IF this album is a dud, then you will find it in bargain bins in a couple years. As a VMP member, I'll go for it there but I'm finding their exclusives to be slightly high/miss with quality, so I'm tempted to just grab the deluxe.

I think those two phrases are meant to compliment each other, although they do sound contradictory when ordered the way they are. If I put them in the following order, they make more sense... Sounds like PF expected much more than was delivered, and punished them for it (which they do on a regular basis). They did the same with EL VY, and with a much harsher review. Either way, no one should be banking on reviews for albums they are looking forward to (from PF, CoS, Rolling Stone, NME, or wherever). Take it in as a fan, and if it hits you the right way then that's all that matters. /sap Back to the album, I haven't given it a spin yet, but if the collab is anything as good as EL VY was I'll be pretty happy.

Excited for this as I find VMP's best releases are for those records that were never pressed before / needed a redo (Four Tet, Big Bill Bronzy, Menomena). While it is a lot for an international subscriber, I'm ok with the risk Plus it will be my one year anniversary and I can't stop there.

Not sure what they will do, but they have this on the top of every member store thread on their boards. The third bullet point may mean they will either charge you for a June sub, Crate membership or cancel your order... Again I suggest reaching out to them so at worst you can change your membership to a Crate one for June and still get the store items you want.
