I'm pretty sure VMP used the same plates as the indie variant. I've found my VMP version to lack a bit of ommpf but nothing that detracted from the experience too much. I do remember wondering once during listening that it sounded different than my digital experience. Take it all with a grain of salt though...

Anyone know where to grab the coloured vinyl outside of Bullmoose? Pretty shitty that the only online option I have seen doesn't ship outside the US. I've tried a few local indie shops and no dice either.

Ya, this is far from my favourite MSI album but I found this used 2 years ago for $10-15 CAD and decided why the hell not. Shocked to see copies on discogs for $80 USD. Glad others will be able to get this for a decent price!

Given the general lack of quality titles coming out on RSD and the discount bins of unsold RSD material I see around here I wouldn't be surprised if that is a common theme that a lot of stores start considering.

Grabbed last year's 'Play' reissue so I'm fairly content. Never was a huge fan of Everything is Wrong. Not a terrible price for 4 pieces of wax and a book but not a steal either.

Gold Panda, Ritual Howls and Tobacco? Yes please. Beacon and Public Memory were nice additions as well.

I often find 50% of my purchases later on for significantly less than when I bought them. It's a bummer, but it's also the way the business goes with physical media.

Good point around pressing #s. Also, 100% agreed on that advice. I still recommend getting a one month membership for $17 (after $10 referral) and grab everything you want with free shipping. Plus you get a pretty awesome Nina Simone album. Do you know what shipping costs are for non-members?

It's also no Yes Lawd which received universal acclaim general member hype, but is still around... yet a Nina Simone live album that has other repressings this year sold out in 12 hours. So who knows? It's a fickle membership.

Man, listening to this Le Matos is tempting... but at close to $60CAD, each Mondo release is a punch in the gut. Especially after The Fountain quality debacle....

I have a feeling REA will stick around for awhile, as most exclusives these days tend to (outside of the super amped up releases or extremely limited ones). But with an influx of gift memberships to happen over the holidays, who knows.

I seriously considered it as well. Had it in my cart... then I realized... why do I need two versions of the same album from the same pressing AND a CD AND a poster I will keep in a tube, for what ends up being close to $300 CAD. Although I like the navy blue t-shirt... Last time I spent that much on a single album was probably Reznor's GWADT and I rarely spin that. Congrats to those that got it and will enjoy it though!
