I caved and bought all four variants. I picked up the Apocolypse with the live stream ticket, and the other three on MerchNow. I always kick myself for not picking up the first zombie EP pressings so I wasn’t going to miss out on this one.

Here's the CD. We're getting closer.

Mine came this week. Finally spinning them and TOCS was totally fine for me. Minimal crackling, 0 skipping. 
 
Define the Great Line sounded great, and those gaps are barely noticeable. 0 skipping. 
 
LITSOS is definitely bowled, but plays perfectly for me. I'm using a Kenwood with a counterweight and an ortofon red cartridge. 
 
I'm definitely stoked on mine. I hope others are when they get their also.

I haven't had a lot of time to do any super-critical listening, but i spun TOCS and LITSOS yesterday afternoon while I was finishing up work. Definitely the best pressing of LITSOS yet.
 
TOCS sounds much better than the awful DMM TOCS/DTGL that came out years ago. 
 
No complaints on the pressing quality. My biggest gripe is printed inner sleeves. I don't understand why labels still do them.

It’s Gold Rush Vinyl in Austin. Looking at their website now.
 
They talk a big game even stating on their homepage: “When you can order almost anything on-demand, you can’t wait months to get vinyl made-especially when you have tours and loyal fans to think about. That’s why we created Gold Rush Vinyl, named one of the Most Innovative Companies of 2020 for ‘revolutionizing vinyl production.’”
 
My guess is, since they were somewhat new to the vinyl pressing space, they weren't able to prepare/adapt as other bigger plants have to COVID and therefore their turnaround times have ballooned to 14-18 weeks according to their site. 
 
 

I wouldn't say it's rude or disrespectful unless they replace the existing record and remove it from streaming and such. Keep in mind Solid State probably sold the rights for this record and pressing it could be too expensive to make it worth getting the rights and they rerecorded in order to press it again out of affordability. Also maybe they got Josh's blessing?

Confirmed that this is made to order. Got an email saying that they are taking down all merch and vinyl down at 11:59PM EST on Wednesday. Wonder if they'll inflate the order a bit to get a whole number. Either way hopefully this will stave flipping on this one. Course nothing stopped that from destroying the Last of Us boxset that was also made to order.

This album aged well for me. Didn't really enjoy it much when it first came out. It had a few decent songs but nothing that really pulled me in. Through the years though I've found myself coming back to it a lot. Espcecially here lately.
 
I'll give props to Emery for doing something different at the time though. After the huge success that was The Question I think fans were looking forward to something that built upon that album and that is def not what Emery did. They kind of went the opposite way. It's always a toss up for bands following a record like that. They succeeded where alot of bands fail in that "sophomore slump" and made an album that was incredible. The Question is still one of my favorite albums but I'm Only A Man was a pretty big flop at the time and the band themselves will even tell you that. The stories behind the making of the album are pretty hilarious. Especially from Toby's point of view. Apparently they missed out on a huge contract too.
 
The musical aspect of this album is awesome. They were doing some really interesting stuff. It's also a bit "theatrical" to me and that's probably why I didn't enjoy it as much back then. Very story driven and dramatic in a way.
 
I'll 100% pick up a copy of this. Only thing I'm worried about is the re-recording aspect. Hopefully they keep that same energy and it stays at the same level of production. It could potentially change the album a bit. 

I asked a couple friends who are big Emery fans about their thoughts on a re-recorded version of this album and they both said they loved the album but the guitar tones on the original version were terrible, and we're looking forward to hearing an updated version with better tones. 

Very intrigued by this. Doubt I'll pick it up as I too belong to the this album is kinda wack crowd, but I am extremely curious about the re-record. I think there are some really great nuggets happening on this record, but they're dropped between some just really unappealing stuff. I doubt they'll be too revisionist, but this could possibly end up making it a more consistent album. If nothing else, I've always hated how the vocals were mixed, so maybe it'll fix that.

You don’t have to purchase a ticket. You can just buy the vinyl. 
 
I highly doubt they’ll make a fortune off this. There’s 6 members in the band, plus the crew. They don’t all live in the same area. Some have to travel. Do you know how difficult it is to produce a good-sounding live stream? 
 
I never thought I’d be on the internet in 2020 defending Underoath. But here I am. Quality live-streams are ridiculously difficult to pull off. I’m skeptical myself. But artists need to be creative to create new revenue streams right now. I’m sure they’d rather tour if they could. 

I would love for these guys to make "a fortune" off of their hard work past and present. As someone in the currently-crippled entertainment industry, I'm happy for anyone managing to make a living right now.

Since it says original recording and packaging, I'm really hoping TOCS will have "I Got Ten Friends And A Crowbar That Says You Ain't Gonna Do Jack"  as the final track. My collectors edition copy is nice, but does not have this song like the original pressing did.
