I feel like we're making huge strides in this thread, as a group, with you recognizing and accepting something that absolutely blows your mind but may be a bit more formulaic.  The Gumbo of this time last year wouldn't be able to classify something into both categories, I feel.  Real talk.

Welp, it finally fucking came. It's a tangible thing. It only took almost a year, but hell, it was worth it.


 

My Grandmother tells me to smile all the damn time, it is annoying. I see guys say that to girls all the time in public, like why is that ok? It's none of your business how anyone expresses themselves. It's worse when I hear "you'd be cuter if you smiled" directed at girls. Fuck those guys.

Tonight was the 2nd day in  a row where I had a customer call in a huge order 10 minutes before close, and it was the same person. Had to stay 45 minutes late, and both nights he told me, "You really need to smile, you know." And proceeded to tip me $0.02.
 
I snapped a picture of his address from the check he paid with and will be dropping off our hours of operation for him.

I'm super pumped for the second round of Thursday Night Terrors! Starts up again this Thursday.

The indie theater by me is alright. It doesn't really have a "theater" feel to it as you can see in the pictures on their website, but they do show some good stuff on occasion that would normally skip a smaller city like Buffalo.  They serve alcohol so my friends love it lol.  I've actually only been there a few times for random events like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, It's A Wonderful Life, stuff like that.

Going to see Split today at 4:00. Going to see They Live in the theater on Thursday (some how have never seen this). Going to see Autopsy of Jane Doe at the indie theater in my town on Saturday. Should be a good week for me.
Saw Bye Bye man last week, it was as bad as the name sounds.

I just got the last piece I needed to complete my Appleseed Cast collection, their first 7 inch, Tale of the Aftermath.  Managed to get a copy on Ebay for $35 after always seeing it for $65+ on discogs. Pretty happy to complete this collection, my largest collection from a single artist. Hoping to get a new album from them this year.

The guy I go to in Orlando is $180 an hour. Luckily he only charges me $100 an hour. With the amount of hours we've put into both of my arms so far plus travel costs over the years and hotel costs. Probably around 10k on my arms. We've also been working on them since I've been like 19. Art is pricey!
 
Dude it sucks. I've just always gone so far to see this guy that I have to sit as long as possible. I usually tap out around 5 hours on the second day. I used to have a semi easy 10 hour drive to see him when I lived in Nola. But now I really have to make it worth it and try and put in two 8 hour days

hello hello.  so i got the job i had applied for last week!!!!!!!  Pretty nervous about it since I start in a few weeks and I need to relocate. But maybe this will be a good thing. It's 12 weeks as an intern and if i do well, it's very possible I could be offered a fulltime spot.  i am very very very nervous. 

Well my opener called out. Normally we have two people trying to get the work of three people done by 9am when we open. Now it's just me and its god damn impossible. Once customers are in the store I'm fucked because I'm the only one in my department, so I can't get anything done.
 
 
You'd be surprised how many assholes get coldcuts at 9am on a Monday.
