  1. I realize this is probably a ridiculous long shot, but I'd be very interested in buying the Bludhoney tape that was included in the deluxe bundle from anybody looking to sell. Happy to pay a premium.
  2. One of the best going. Period. Glad to have some new material. One day he'll blow up and my little OG cassettes will put one of my as-yet-unsired offspring through braces.
  3. That preview cut doesn't immediately stir my innards the way Deep Fantasy did. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Ordered. I'm glad they've steered back toward their earlier sound. Chrome was an ear sore. EDIT: Holy cow, I just saw that the b/c page is referring to this as their "second album". Revisionist history at it's finest right there.
  4. That wax looks just like the Jurassic Park Dilo variant. Papaya is a killer slab of wax. Great music.
  5. I didn't see the Ishmael connection. Where did that come from? And why is he involved? Maybe he brokered the deal or something?
  6. Hard pass. I bet Flying Dog licenses this to someone else ASAP as a music only release. Or this.
  7. Appreciate your responses, Ghost. That's exactly what I was curious about. I guess I wasn't aware that he had lost his remaining copies. I just presumed he was offloading them to anywhere that was interested to get as much money as quickly as possible since he had winnowed his direct retail options down to an Angelfire website. As to the warping issue, mine is a bit warped as well, but luckily doesn't affect play.
  8. Has anyone who ordered from the Angelfire site, received theirs? That was the oddest of the three sites yet and I'm genuinely wondering if it was legit.
  9. Got a signed one of these a couple of months back. Not cheap though.
  10. Xander Harris was hit by a car while riding his bike a few weeks ago and, while he will thankfully be okay in the long run, he has been off work since with some mounting medical/PT bills. I guess what I'm saying is if you're on the fence, hop off it and pick up a good record by a good dude who needs a good turn right now.
  11. I've never even heard a note of Demarco's until a couple of days ago. This album is the business. Can't fathom how it happened.
  12. I couldn't care less about all the trappings or how people interpret their aesthetic; it takes all sorts to make a World. I just don't think their music is enjoyable after the first LP. Well maybe a couple songs on the second LP, too. I accept that bands grow and change, but I'm not wrong because I'm disappointed by their output. I always check out their stuff because I hope it will be a return to Opus, but so far, it ain't. Glad folks enjoy them. Just different strokes, etc.
  13. That's more like it. These are great albums, but I'm not sure I want to spend $90+ to buy them. What the heck? No, man. Just...no.
  14. This band sounded so promising on Opus Eponymous and now they...don't.
  15. I've read a few places that these LPs leave something to be desired, fidelity-wise. Anybody here have that experience?
  16. Vinyl Factory is calling IT "limited edition" for whatever that's worth. No mention of pressing numbers as per.
