This is without a doubt my favorite KJ record. It is so relentless. Hoping it turns up in the US.

Monastic_mike reacted to vinyl addict in Tool Vinyl BUYING GUIDE (Original/Boots, etc.)
I'll take a full remastering (other than the Chris Bellman cut of Lateralus) of all the albums pressed on plain boring black vinyl, please.

Monastic_mike reacted to fish in Wax Trax! Records- Industrial Accident LP/Box Set (Ministry/KMFDM/Laibach) + All-Encompassing WAX TRAX! Releases & Whatnot
I know there are a few people on here who were into "industrial" music. Wax Trax! Records has been working on a documentary for a few years now and finally announced the preorder for the soundtrack. Options for standard LP, deluxe w/ 7", and a "cash grab" box set. I grabbed the box just because this is the music I grew up on and couldn't pass it up. It comes with a couple 7"s of unreleased tracks. One of them is only available in the box. There will also be a blue RSD version in stores.

I really hope that's where we're headed. I'd be surprised if they didn't keep coming, there's clearly demand.

Does make me want them to reissue the others even more, the level of quality at that price point is bonkers when i consider how many so-so albums I've spent £25 or more on.

Agreed. Sounds fantastic. One of the best sounding discs I have as well.

Killing Joke's name is mud on Pledgemusic at the moment. People have been waiting years for Killing Joke Symphonic and the box set I linked to was (until recently) supposed to contain all of the releases in the CD set, but something went wrong......
As for the MoV pressing not being available in the UK, keep an eye on Amazon.de. They often have MoV colour pressings and also aren't in the UK.

Yeah sturdy gatefold with embossed silver numbers on the back panel, poly lined inner sleeves 8 page lyric book with some associated album photos and a near 12" by 12" print of the cover sans the typography. Sound quality is really ace and it may be up there with my best sounding records. 180 gram for most of us doesn't mean much and silver may seem at odds with their love of all things green but I have to say this is one of the most beautiful re-issues I've gotten my hands on this year.

Anybody has a clue if this box is also going to be released by MOV or if this is a seperate release? I prefer to get it from another website than Pledgemusic but if this is the only option to get all of these 4 albums then I will bend I guess :)

I ordered one from the UK but my local shop got like 20 of them for RSD. Last check he has 9 left. I feel dumb.

Honestly, I don't even need silver. I just need the regular ol black with standard tracks... assuming this also has Summer Breeze
Yep, sure does. Stoked. No BFRSD for this loser.

Here's hoping for October Rust. One of my faves, but I can't afford any of the ones out there right now.

Monastic_mike reacted to burninworldrecs in PO: Godflesh Streetcleaner Live At Roadburn 2011 2LP
Birmingham's seminal post-punk/industrial behemoths GODFLESH performed their seminal debut full-length album, 1989's "Streetcleaner", in its entirety at the 2011 edition of the Roadburn festival on Thursday, April 14 at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland. In addition, founding members Justin Broadrick and Benny Green played the "Tiny Tears" EP, which was conceived as part of the overall "Streetcleaner" vision, in full as well.
Decibel magazine: The debut full-length from industrial mastermind Godflesh is suffocating as a live recording. Rumbling bass, squealing guitars and strong vocals bring Streetcleaner to life in a different way than on the studio album, but it works to Godflesh’s benefit. The songs are more dissonant and, at times, cacophonous, a powerful incarnation of the record more than 20 years after its release.
Mastered specially for cd and vinyl by James Plotkin. Edition of 100 copies: 500 on black, 300 on white and 200 on red vinyl. 3 copies of the test presses for this album will be added to random orders of the first week. https://www.burningworldrecords.com/products/godflesh-streetcleaner-live-at-roadburn-2011-cd

Monastic_mike got a reaction from jeromium in PO - Skinny Puppy - Cleanse Fold And Manipulate & Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse
Agreed.
The Process was a good album but not a good SP album in my opinion. I left at that point. In my eyes, and squarely my own opinion, Last Rights was the pinnacle and the logical end to everything they did to that point. I was so sure that the follow up to LR would be more abstract sound collage, like a less electro Eyes of Stanley Pain type thing mixed with the first few minutes of KNowhere looped and more abstract from a rhythmic standpoint.
Instead it was decent but wholly unremarkable electro. Which in hindsight makes sense as Critter was dead as well as dwayne. Critter Newell was the genius in those records save for Rabies which was Luxa/Pan'd into the Ministry v Skinny Puppy album I always wanted in 1989.
Ohgr's solo stuff isn't anything to write home about (IMO). The initial record was good and I saw them/him on that tour (with Hate Dept - who will never get the credit they deserve for being solid) but otherwise danceable stuff with Ohgr being Ohgr over it.
On the subject of the Bites and Remission repressed which do sound good btw, I wish more tracks were included. The cd had another like 6 tracks that do not appear on the records, one of those being one of my all time face SP songs "Manwhole".

Monastic_mike reacted to fish in PO - Skinny Puppy - Cleanse Fold And Manipulate & Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse
Seibold is a great guy. Was at that tour in Buffalo. The one thing I hated about that show though was that I had never seen Puppy live at that point and was just really hoping they'd do at least 1 SP song since cEvin was playing with them. But instead they did 1 of his songs in the encore. But i think i may have actually enjoyed that show more than the times I have seen Puppy after.
Morfiend - how was Lead into Gold live opening for him?

Monastic_mike reacted to jeromium in PO - Skinny Puppy - Cleanse Fold And Manipulate & Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse
NICE. I have these already, but happy that this stuff is being re-issued. I picked up the Remission & Bites re-issues last year. Assuming they continue to repress, I'll pick up the ones I'm missing (basically just Rabies as far as the classic LPs go).
