I have never listened to this band til I read through this thread, but hot damn this is great. 

The difference is that I'm not trying to figure out what the fuck the guitars are trying to say to tell a story. It'd be like if a movie had a soundtrack that played during the entire movie that made it difficult to follow the plot. 

All these new songs would be so good if I could just hear the damn vocals. Don't want to beat a dead horse but this is far worse than La Dispute imo - at least LD kind of has that ambient aesthetic going on. This is supposed to be a hardcore band, such a shame...

Picked this up at our show with them (if you follow them on IG you got to see my band for a blip!) last Friday!  digging it a lot.  I let Carly pick the color and she chose the Silver.   Their merch right now is solid and they sound as great as ever!   and JEREMY of Skatune Network was there which blew my freaking mind!

The album was recorded at the end of the last year, so i think something is going on....

Man, I really hope so.  Feel like they’ve made several posts over the last year that suggested a 2019 album was happening.  Would love a follow-up from them considering how much mileage I got out of Space.

Any leads on the the Epitaph 3" or the RSD3 player?

Also not a fan of the "buy a bundle to get the most limited variant" thing. I get it, but I don't like it. I was okay with it this time because I wanted a shirt, but I don't like either of the designs, so I just bought the 3x7" bundle.

But the most rare and arguably most desirable variant isn’t available on its own in any capacity. It just sucks that, as a consumer, I can’t have that unless I’m willing to pay for a T-shirt or 3 copies of the same 7”. Thank you for pointing out the obvious though.

Ok I’ve always been leaning more on the side of defending Yip and his tendency to mix vocals really low but this is the place where it makes the least sense. Did a listen to this song a few times and the last few albums. It definitely hurts the story/listenability.

I commented on Derek’s IG saying I wish the vocals were louder in the mix and he deleted it. But seriously, listen to any other Defeater song and then play this one and it sounds like they recorded the vocals through a wall while the band played at 100% volume. It’s poop garbage.  Song is great though.
