Trying to make my way to Chicago for this...if I do I'll snag you a copy. I'd be flying...so I could probably snag a couple more. Hope it all works out for both of us!

^ You've made about 4-5 leaps and assumptions based off one vague eBay message.  I would slow your mind down and let the situation present itself more clearly.

Start with the assumption that the buyer is being honest and that he quickly messaged you because he wants to get this resolved quickly.

Email them back and apologize for the condition it arrived in and assure them that you'll resolve it fairly.  Then, ask them to send you a few clear photos of both sides of the record, the box it arrived in, and a sound recording of the skips.  If you accuse them of lying, it is going to be much harder to get info from them.  If you empathize with them and let them know you need the info to help them with their return or refund, they'll be more likely to send the photos and sound clip.

If you are nice and sympathetic to their problem and they refuse to provide you with that info or they give you a weird, sketchy blurry photo or change their story...then maybe you can start with the red flag hunt.

But let's hope that they are being honest and that they send you the photos, etc....

If it doesn't look too warped, you can help them troubleshoot their turntable setup or just give them a return.  If you're right about having the magic ability to 100% guarantee that no record you send can ever get warped or damaged in transit ( ), then you'll receive a perfect copy back that you can re-sell.

If it's warped and busted, then something happened to it.  Either it was damaged in transit or the seller damaged it within an hour for some unknown reason.  It would be up to you whether those $25 are worth investigating this guy and making sure he is 100% being honest or whether your time and continuing to live your life and maintain good feedback is worth more.

    Packages do get damaged.

The other alternative, which some VC folks might suggest, is to wash your hands of this entirely and tell them "TOO BAD SO SAD" and then let eBay rule on it.  If eBay rules in their favor, you can come up with an eBay pun like evilBay and rage against the machine for the rest of your days.

To be fair the flier they made has the actual band names so so tiny....I imagine on purpose....I feel there will end up being a LOT of disappointed kids at those shows

Useless ID up on the VC board? It's like Suburban Home Records all over again. Get 'cha craft beer, folks! Here's hoping the color is whiskey and coke.

I know that variants are usually kind of bullshit, sort of like using a glittery lure to catch a fish, but I'm still attracted enough to them to try and pick them up even though occasionally I am critical of myself for doing so.  The added layer of Susan G. Komen, however, just seems like bullshit overload to me.  Such a scammy nonprofit.  Are these releases actually affiliated with Komen, or are these artists legitimately trying to bring awareness/help to the issue?  Are some of the proceeds being donated?

Removed the back brakes, installed new levers for the front brakes, replaced the drops with bullhorn bars, and wrapped new tape on me and the lady's bikes. Yeah, they match, cause we're awesome like that. Except she has a tiger bell cause she's more badass than I am. We go on weekend bike rides to various record shops, stop by a local bar for happy hour, then ride home and spin our haul.

That is a crazy number of sweet bands to pack into 1 day.  I wasn't planning on being in cali in October, but this might sway me.

So I'm moving to Athens shortly before this for pharmacy school starting the day after Wrecking Ball, so my weekend looks like:
Athens 8:30am Saturday CPR > get trashed for two days in Atlanta > first day of program
    Super excited

I ride a 1987 Dave Scott Centurion Ironman Women's Road Bike.  Women's frame because I'm only 5'5" and have short legs, haha.  Back tire is a 26x1, front tire is a 24x1.  Leans like a track bike, seriously love this bike and have been riding it for nearly 10 years now.  Got it at a thrift store in Oklahoma City for $21, and it's still one of the greatest deals I've ever gotten on anything in my life.  I can't believe how much these bikes still go for online.  Here's a google picture of the outrageous paint job.

    1)  yeah...you have to log in to use Paypal.
    2)  You do need to print the label and a scale helps.  Most records in a mailer weigh about 1lb.
    3)  Paypal typically tries to tie their shipping labels to a payment transaction, but if you use the direct link you can create simply create a shipping label without needing a payment of any kind.  Example: I just used it to generate a shipping label for a trade transaction.

The paypal method may not be ideal for everybody, but works for me.  I simply print out a label at work, tape to to the mailer and drop it off at the post office without having to wait in line.  Also, it's nice to have all my tracking info in one place.  Plus they discount some of the extras like confirmation.

ANDDDDD I don't think that you can do media mail online or at a kiosk in the post office, but Paypal does it.

Is anyone shocked at all the leftover Springsteen releases? At some point all the represses of dollar bin fodder has to end so I'm hoping this makes such a statement despite my love of Bruce.

Pretty hilarious, but my first record store day the Bouncing Souls released the Jersey Pride 7". None of the stores in Atlanta got any, but my dad happened to be working in Boston for the weekend and the Newbury shop near him got 1. He got there about 15 minutes before they opened for me and called when he got in. I gave him my whole list since he was already there and he was reading it off on the phone to the guy. One of the records was a Fucked Up 7" and he was like we're going to skip that one. After they had everything else I wanted he was like "uhmmm F'ed Up" and the guys like "Fucked Up, no problem". My dad got a kick out of it. Got me everything I waned including the Souls 7" and HWM Live in Chicago vol. 1 and all I had to do was sit on the phone. Easiest RSD ever for me lol
