Yeah, from the albums I've looked up, it looks like the pricing is quite a bit higher than what you can get from discogs but it's in the name of supporting No Idea, so I can't hate.

Yeah, about that... peep the comments in these posts. From what I've heard there are similar stories from others.

    I’m confused.

I decided to cave and use discogs to sell all my items. I thought the huge upside was that you could sell straight from your collection, but now it seems like I have to add a record twice. Once for collection and once for inventory. Am I missing something?

I suppose that's true. I don't know how they could make it easier though, no matter what you'd still have to add a price and a text description in order to sell it. Usually I when I put a record up for sale I remove it from my "collection" since it's on its way out eventually.

  3. Seems like a good place to bring this up: when did Discogs start blocking "unofficial releases" from sale? I noticed it a couple weeks ago that certain bootlegs or unofficial pressings have this notice in place of the section that usually shows stats for how many users have it in their collections, average price, etc:

This release has been blocked from sale in the marketplace. It is not permitted to sell this item on Discogs.

    Example from my collection: https://www.discogs.com/Bullion-Presents-The-Beach-Boys-Vs-J-Dilla-Pet-Sounds-In-The-Key-Of-Dee/release/2058216

So why is Discogs a bunch of narcs now? Maybe gearing up to sell the site, or somehow go "legit" in some form?

yeah i know you can find it, but if you share your "Collection" link with me, I have no way of knowing if any of your 1000 records are in my wantlist, regardless of if they are for sale . Thats the function i want,

You can already go to a release page and see what users own a particular record, which is bad enough imo. I empathize with the rarity hunter, but I don't want people messaging me in hopes that I'll sell them my first pressing mewithoutYou records or whatever.

Probably a dumb question, but I’m not familiar with Google Docs. Is it something I can do through an IPhone or do I have to use it through an actual PC/Mac?

It's web-based, although I wouldn't recommend doing it on a phone. If you have a Google/Gmail/YouTube account, you can just go to drive.google.com and hit the NEW button to start a new text document or spreadsheet.

Jake Nolan, a guitarist in one of the bands Mr. Hovater played in, stuck with him. “There are people who literally go around Sieg Heiling,” he said. “Then you have the people who just want the right to be proud of their heritage” — people, he said, who are standing up against “what appears to be an increasingly anti-white America.”

This shirt is still available in large! There's never been a better time to show off your misogyny while also supporting neo-Nazis!

Doesn’t look like we’ll get LP2 anytime soon. Either he’s really glossing over some more sinister actions or this feels a lot like the Turnover dude situation.

From what I can decipher, he's essentially apologizing for being charismatic and for briefly dating a girl who already had a boyfriend, which ended badly? Wild stuff. Yeah, either he's getting out ahead of something serious or he's just being extremely sensitive (and based on their music, I wouldn't rule out the latter).

Seriously, has any band gotten as much Record Store Day mileage out of as little recorded material as Big Star? Even the Sex Pistols haven’t had as many demos, live recordings, box sets, etc culled from such little back catalog.

At least the Flaming Lips and Kinks - who seem to release a half dozen records each RSD - have decades worth of recordings laying around.

Big Star is better than all those bands though

Seconded, I never thought this sounded as bad as the internet would lead you to believe. Definitely nowhere near unlistenable.

This record seems to be second only to the Plain pressing of Loveless in the ranking of Pressings That Dorks On The Internet Love To Complain About Unprompted. I play my copy semi-regularly, and yeah, there's a little more surface noise than average, but come on, people. Seems like one of those things that probably originated as a single post on r/vinyl and nerds everywhere decided that it was their opinion, too.
