Friendly advice: You should implement some cuts because few people want to watch a 14 minute video of a guy talking

If Ross were involved in any way with the music he releases (other than getting the rights, sending a CD to Pirates Press, and keeping the release a secret from the band), this would be a constructive comment, but this thread reads as an essay on how he's a parasite to actual artists and music in general. -

current and recent Image comics that I am buying...
Autumnlands
Black Science
Chew
East Of West
Elephantmen
The Fade Out
Fatale
Jupiter's Legacy
Low
Manhattan Projects
Nameless
Outcast
Prophet
Saga
Ten Grand
Trees
If you are just starting out with comics, I would recommend Saga or Chew from the current Image lineup. Saga is the best book they are putting out and Chew is the most fun.

I actually just read Inhuman #1-8 this morning. One of the better Marvel books I have read in a while. I wish Joe Madureira would have stuck around for more than 3 issues though.
Image really is putting out the most quality books these days. I've been buying monthly comics since the early 90's and I've never had as many Image comics on my pull list as I do now.

Blowing my mind seeing not one, but two people posting about how great the art is on that Blink cd.
I must be missing something because to me that cover is embarrassingly bad.

Good call on "Live After Death" - definitely on my short list. Ramones "It's Alive" also on that list.

To recap: These sold out in a day. The vinyl board most oriented to this sort of schlock has a majority claiming they wouldn't buy this from Shady Ross. There are a lot of people on this board lying.
FYI: I have an OG press of the Dukes of Hazard theme song 45 and Charlie Brown's Christmas 7"/Storybook. The bidding begins at $50 each since people around here will buy anything.

not trying to be an asshole, but i find it super weird when i see threads like this. i would never think to ask a forum of people what to do about this. my first thought would be to use glue.

I am fully prepared to be annihilated here, but I'm probably buying every variant of that Doug 7" haha. Always been my favorite cartoon, for whatever reason, & I just finished up watching all 4 seasons over the past month or so haha.
I checked out those snippets on cdbaby, & other than the Patty song, I thought they sounded pretty decent.
Even if I play them once & never again, & even though the lightning bolt is flipped, I still want it.
So yes, I'm part of the problem, & not ashamed to admit it (ok, slightly ashamed).

While this is true, if I were going to buy an item like this, I'd be much more likely to pick it up with the original songs as they were on the shows than Ross and his friends creating terrible versions of the songs.
I think he just saw Hot Topic making a killing on those Disney picture discs and wanted to jump on the band wagon.

kurtz reacted to slushy in Make your own LP and 7" mailers for free
I have received more fucked up records in mailers from people who don't know how to pack a record in a mailer properly than I have records being sent in taped up cardboard.
Seriously, the old wrap the record in newspaper, slap between two 12.5x12.5 sheets of thick cardboard and tape up is a classic that rarely fails.

It's so hilarious to see how attitudes of people involved with record collecting have changed over the years.
Like only ten years ago it was all about sharing and pooling information about the best and cheapest ways to ship/trade/sell records and the various common scams people were using (gluing stamps, etc). And now, when the costs involved with buying/selling/collecting records are higher than ever, it's all promo codes and lectures about how taking some cardboard from postal service is wrong.
