guys, three things:
 
1) ebay customer service is so much more helpful at low-traffic hours (like 9:45 pm PST right before they close). just an FYI.
2) they removed my negative feedback without hassling me, and i didn't have to use any of my feedback revision requests.
3) i told her about this guy and his persistent fraudulent activity, and she was as surprised as i am that there's no mechanism to automatically identify and block a mailing address that has already been blocked 100 times. she assured me she would bring the issue to a higher-up. i doubt it will do anything, but hey, she made me feel like she would, and i'm ok with that!
 
 
4) i think i might have a crush on that customer service girl. she was so accommodating... and nice... and pretty-sounding... is this what love feels like?

Young professionals having their "quarter life crisis" when they realize they don't have an identity, so they pay for subscription services like this one that can build one for them. Vinyl is a safe choice for a hobby, because you just have to obtain the dang things and keep them in your living room, plus most people have a passing knowledge of music so it's not hard to build a collection that passes muster with the kind of people they hang out with. Plus vinyl is still exotic to most people, but not so niche or outré that it's a turn off for potential sexual partners. Hell, it could get you laid if you have that Fitz and the Tantrums record she likes. I can't respect it, but I get it.
