Well there are people that still actually buy non-vinyl products from Hot Topic.  From here on out they'll be able to purchase glow in the dark rimmed glasses and adventure time condoms or whatever the hell they sell these days

I don't care, I kind of want this. I definitely want Hybrid Theory as well. And actually, I'd love a reissue of Human Clay. Me and my dad would jam that album when I was younger. This stuff was what existed in my childhood. And the day there's an announcement of some BSB vinyl, I'll be on that too! I don't curr.

I fail to understand why all of a sudden on almost every other thread about any given release there are people shitting on those who enjoy or want that particular records. Just because YOU don't like the particular band doesn't make them suck or the those who like said band any less "cool" or "hip" in your precious vinyl "hobby". Too many people are way overly invested and concerned about what other people like and listen to.
 
Who the fuck cares! Someone likes Evanescense or Linkin Park. Fine. That's their deal so let them and it be. Go listen to what you like and enjoy then. And wait until someone shits on YOU for liking that damn band.

If it has Warner Bros. Records labels and comes with a 7" on black vinyl of Bungle and the Secret Chiefs 3 then it;s the US. If has a Slash Records label, it's the UK.

I've seen this band live around 30 times and I've been hoping for a live LP set for many years. This is good news. Very happy the tracks will be from the actual era of each album. Oh and lol Nikki Six.

This was my introduction to Hum in 95... a sampler cd from I don't remember where.
I never really noticed a similarity in Failure and Hum aside from the fact that most people liked both bands if they'd heard of them both.
Never saw Hum, but I did get to see Failure a couple of times.

All good bands. Check out Centaur, Anakin, and Orion too

Missed out. This would've been a whole hell of a lot easier to order a year ago, before Title Fight decided they liked Hum.

I have an idea for the audiophile crowd here: how about a "it was obviously sourced from a CD/loud master" thread?
 
That said I know some of you just like the physical product, CD mastering is just fine, in my case buying vinyl has more to do with getting that nice gentler, natural sound.
 
Let's not be absolute or anything either, please keep in mind digital recording or formats can be done well. 
 
It would be wise to simply dis-include bootlegs, e.g. "Made in Europe", "Made in Germany", "IMPORT" which are clearly not licensed.

I was fortunate enough to get the US version on Import back when  it was released. I also love it's dynamic. A friend of mine had Billy Anderson sleeping on his couch while he was in town mastering the Charger album 'Confessions Of A Man...' they spoke at length and Anderson says it was the best project he ever, ever worked on and its clear why. That was not analogue either, but the pressing is great. It just goes to show that a good vinyl engineer (Anderson had nothing to do with the vinyl btw) can make magic. Vinyl mastering and indeed mastering in general to me is a damned art.
 
I also own the Plain versions and I don't know why I've held on to them. I had no idea who Plain were and I thought the thing might have surpassed the WBR version. I never heard the Slash/London UK copy. I could have bought it but I already had the US version on import.
