Finally opened my copy on black.... wow.  Worlds more dynamic than the CD audio.  Very happy

"Naked in Front of the Computer" (also one of my favorite activities) finally doesn't sound like ass.

Now MOV should do the Finch, Fiona Apple, and Local H catalogues.

I don't understand the idea of a band getting mad when someone presses something without their consent when they sold the rights to it to begin with. Got a problem with someone owning your material? Put it in the contract.

The sticker should say limited color vinyl on it if you got gold.  MOVs usually come in those resealable poly bags so you should be able to open it and still sell it as "new."

Unless you bought it for wall display only- in that case:

Did anyone try woodglue?  That's supposed to take everything but the grooves off.  I have been considering doing this for my Def Jam bootlegs.

What's questionable about what SRC did? They bought rights and used them. They don't need to talk it over with the band. That's how it works. If people don't want that to happen, they'd sign better contracts and avoid major labels entirely.

I'm surprised there isn't a bootleg of the debut album.  I mean... until now.  I'm going to be rich.  But i'm going to get permission from the band first.  before i become rich.  damn SRC already beat me to it.  (it is a Sony title after all).

    cool story bro:

I just wanted to commend those who praised SRC's forthright nature in disclosing audio sources and mastering.

It's a rarity in any high-end music media.  I've avoided buying a few releases from hdtracks.com because they refuse to disclose their audio sources (many of which are SACD lol).  I take issue with Universal Special Markets for the same reason, Universal's distributors turning the blind eye should also not be taken lightly.

Suffice it to say-- if it's the same master as the CD--- sell me a CD and a 12" album flat!

    Kinda like it.

    Maybe reverse the colors.

if it's a double... i still contend solid transparent is best.  Is it going to be a double? the album is 49 mins long.

I got the test pressing back in August 2011. Magnified sounds great, just like Comfort. You will not be disappointed.

It would be awesome to see different covers when it comes to the LP. I'd prefer the US CD version and the UK CD version.

Received this in the mail today. Had a small scuff on one side that caused a few pops, but overall I am very happy with this. It's been a few years since I listened to this album, and it was a great experience hearing it on vinyl.

Perhaps that's the pink/trans Channel Orange?  I just got mine, boy howdy.... it's nice.  Both of these releases are clearly remastered to some degree for vinyl, and I appreciate that.  It's very funny when Universal can't make a record sound as good as a bootlegger....

I prefer the "cooler version" which you already have as part of the Das Schutzenfest single, but if you're after a copy particularly on vinyl, one of the two 12" version would be a good bet. Avoid the red 7". I own three copies and all sound awful. If you can order from Amazon.co.uk, you might want to just pick up a UK or European copy of Angel Dust for a couple of quid. It's the 14th track on that. Or you can just listen to this clip (hopefully you're not region blocked):

No synths, vocal introduction. Used by London Records in UK, Europe, Brazil, Japan and Australia (Australia also had the album released by liberation, the Liberation copies used the US/German "cooler version" with synths and no vocal introduction).

"Midlife Crisis" was one of the first cassettes I ever bought.  My mom asked the guy at Sam Goody if there was bad language in the song, and he said if there was you can't tell b/c the lyrics are indecipherable.  Still remember being amazed at the b-side of Malpractive, never heard anything like that before.

This is false.  It wouldn't matter if the supply met the demand.  The only thing that is egregious is the demand for bands/albums such as these.  There are too many people hung up on nostalgia and not enough people seeking out artists.
