Thanks for posting. Some really good deals on there. Picked up the 8 Panel Pauls Boutique, Katy Perry - Teenage Dream, Beck - Morning Phase, and Pet sounds for $60 shipped not bad at all.

Some cheap Capitol Records titles at Crate and Barrel. Yes, you read that right. Blind Melon being the best one, IMO.

danyc reacted to tape in PO now: Live - Mental Jewelry - purple vinyl - 25th anniversary
Radioactive was a joint venture between MCA and Gary Kurfirst (who managed lots of bands).
MCA ended up getting bought by Universal. Universal also owns Geffen. Bull Moose is showing the label as being Geffen, so I'm guessing Universal just moved the Radioactive catalog over to Geffen at some point (if there were any reissues of those albums).

Holy fartz, Batman, that is cheap! Going to search right now! Thanks a ton of that tip.
Semi related, there is no proper Prog thread on this site that I can find. One should be started I think!
Edit: You mean the single version and not the 4 LP version? A link if you could please!

While not the Fish version of the band, this just popped up on the radar. Worth buying for 'Ocean Cloud' alone, since it wasn't on the previous vinyl pressing. Older pressing is rather pricey now too I believe. Three LP's. Pretty cool!

HAHA...
For once, at 37, I can say I'm not to blame for any of this.

Only the new stuff, huh?
Also that means this stuff was already pressed to vinyl once? Wow!

Found one brand new on discogs for $25 and finally listening now. It's my first VMP that I've owned and holy hell, it sounds amazing! They did an amazing job with this. Not sure it could sound any better. Love the weighty vinyl and cut to 45 rpm. Top notch all around.

If by chance you have T-Mobile for your regular cell service, you are all set and don't need to get any other service while in Europe. They are a German company and it's quite a good perk for using their service.
Goes without saying I suppose but the ladies in these three countries are most easy on the eyes, so brace yourself to be overwhelmed. It's really something else.

danyc reacted to filthyrich in Marillion "Misplaced Childhood" 4LP Box Set 7/7/17
Hmmm.... I guess there's very few of us!
I only recently discovered this band and album. I guess it might sound "dated" to some, but if you appreciate prog-rock and don't mind some 80s-era production, this thing is a gem. Think Peter Gabriel vocals atop the widescreen keyboard and soaring guitar of Pink Floyd. (And with some Rush-style time-signature trickery too!)
This might be blasphemy, but I sprang for the CD/BR set rather than the vinyl. A lot more material (plus video and 5.1) at half the cost. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of live albums on vinyl, and the only other material is the album itself, which is a cheap OG. I did order from Fish's website to get the signed PO. Not too expensive even with overseas shipping.

It's still available in their store. If you're not currently a member they announce their August AOTM today. See if it's something you like than sign up and you can still add Fiona.

danyc got a reaction from somethingvinyl in SERIOUS UPDATE!! FS: 80's 90's Cassette Tapes Agnostic Front Bad Religion Beck Beastie Boys Digable Planets Jane's Addiction Nirvana Palace Bros Pumpkins Social D Screaming Trees
A small mountain of cassette tapes up for grabs. All are priced except for two, that are up for offers i.e. kinda rare! Price is based on median price on Discogs or where I could find previous online sales, which is not easy in some "cases", get it cases? Many of these are a one and only pressing, since tapes were not what records are now. Condition is conservatively VG+ mostly. The tapes and J cards are quite clean, but the outer cases are scratched and have wear. Rarely cracked or broken though. Further condition info will be given should you PM about a title. Want to be upfront before a purchase is made. Only right really! Shipping is $3 via media mail in a padded envelope, regardless of amount purchased. Payment via Paypal please. I rarely post here, mostly lurk occasionally, but there are some here who will vouch for me, from the Dead Format days. Any questions, feel free to ask. **Not looking to trade unless you have Posies - 'Frosting on the Beater' LP for trade. **

Dan, test pressings are test pressings. The process of testing the record for approval is a matter of when and not how many.
source: Me. I own a record label and work at a pressing plant.
Note: As long as people keep paying ridiculous prices for records from Failure, they'll keep putting them out. Stop the bleeding.

Doesn't really seem to be a true test pressing when there are 50 of them. FP is truly an amazing piece of music and I'm not against supporting a band, but the shenanigans these guy do with their vinyl pressings are nuts.
