it looks like you haven't purchased from vc yet, but generally we ship our brand new, Brand New records in picture frames in a box filled with peanuts. ( not the packing one ), and one nail, so you can hang it in our bedroom!

To anyone who ordered one of the represses, they just started shipping out recently. I received mine this morning and was extremely thrilled, I opened the package up and saw a bunch of stickers on the sleeve and didn't think anything of it. I took the record out to see that a sticker was still plastered right on the jacket of the record. (I wish I could upload a picture)  I tried carefully to take it off but knew it was a bad idea so I stopped right away. I'm wondering if everyone else's record was like this, and wondering WHY THE HELL ANYONE WOULD JUST SLAM A STICKER ONTO A RECORD JACKET LIKE THAT. It's the most ugly looking thing ever. It pisses me off. I just don't get why anyone would want to do that and or place an order for a press and have those put on the jacket. 
 
If someone (anyone) could chime in on this I'd really appreciate it, thanks.

In hopes of other people reusing them, I write the address on index cards and tape them to the mailer. That way they can just be peeled off instead of scribbled out

Do people not do this?  Serious question.  I suppose eBay "power sellers" or active Discogs sellers may need to purchase mailers, but I've never had to.  Stashing a few sturdy mailers has always seemed like common sense.

The dog (Mae) knows I love her because I feed her everyday and pet her while I grill (which is constantly), but I keep the relationship casual by telling her that her breath smells like a body bag made out of diarrhea covered chicken skins that (fat) Elvis vomited a bunch of prescription pills onto. are you getting another one?  you should!  I know it sounds shitty but getting a new pet helps you get over your old one.  Consider it as giving a new pet a new life with a good owner.

I haven't ever sold a single record I've bought actually. I only buy records I want to keep and listen to consistantly. I want varients of my favorite bands like Brand New or La Dispute, Balance and Composure, Kevin Devine etc. (going to get bitched out about this too I'm sure)
 
I have been shit on consistantly by this board since September. It was fine when I was new (i'm still new), but literally the only reason I posted today was to confirm with someone who asked about his/her order that my order hadn't shipped either. I was taking time to help someone out, to a degree, and I wasn't bashing anyone else, which is more than I can say for a lot of the people on here.
 
I literally don't care enough to keep battling with people. I hope people get the records they wanted or at least one to spin if they wanted it. I hope it sounds great, despite the color because you love Brand New.

Seriously? I will never understand the need for fellow VC members to bash or try to call people out on how they spend their owm money and what to do with it. Obviously she wants a red pretty badly and is willing to dish out more money for a higher chance at that. I hate when some of the people on here think they have a right to tell someone else what to do with what they have.Edit: You say "confess" like VC is some sort of confessional booth for vinyl lovers. She isn't confessing anything, she is doing what she feels like doing.

I can post a video at some point i believe. We did livestream the event in one of the intertubes for those who couldn't make it.
 
The dance took a lot of practice, but it all came out. I think i only missed one step. I am all soul, no rhythm. As these things go there were some minor hiccups, but nothing major. Mostly our fault for not making sure everything was communicated to all the necessary parties. After walking down the isle one of the groomsmen sat in the audience instead of upfront for an unknown reason. More than one person knocked over a small speaker during the ceremony because the wires weren't secured and then the music system crashed and didn't play the recessional song. The wife of one of my groomsmen got trashed even before the cocktail hour and fell over numerous times during dinner and dancing. The photographer got some nice panty shots as she was failing around on the floor like a wounded turtle. A buddy of mine left the hotel without checking out and then his card was declined, so i picked up his tab. good times. I was pleased, and more importantly she was pleased. After 10 years of "when are you getting married", i am looking forward to "when are you having kids?"
