I fail to understand why all of a sudden on almost every other thread about any given release there are people shitting on those who enjoy or want that particular records. Just because YOU don't like the particular band doesn't make them suck or the those who like said band any less "cool" or "hip" in your precious vinyl "hobby". Too many people are way overly invested and concerned about what other people like and listen to.
 
Who the fuck cares! Someone likes Evanescense or Linkin Park. Fine. That's their deal so let them and it be. Go listen to what you like and enjoy then. And wait until someone shits on YOU for liking that damn band.

I don't know if this or the Linkin Park thread is a new low for VC. This band sucked 10 years ago, and it sucks even more now that perspective has put radio-ready nu-metal in its proper place.
 
At this point, if Creed announced a vinyl reissue of Human Clay, I honestly don't know which way VC would swing. And that is insane to me. This board is not just about the existence of vinyl y'all, it's about listening to music worth the vinyl it's pressed on.

They should release that album that never came out versus this

I feel like it would've been so much more practical to "build your bundle" with this pre-order.  Is it great that they're offering the album on multiple mediums, including lossless digital files?  Absolutely.  Does everyone need or want a copy of the album on every possible format?  Definitely not.

I'll continue beating the dead horse....
 
Don't like it, don't buy it. 

I'm all for my records sounding as good as possible but I am far from having a good "musical ear". I can't tune my guitar without electronics, I doubt I can tune my turntable.
 
Set the anti-skate to the level of the counterweight determined by the stylus. Let us know if there are any problems with playback. If you think you tune with 100% accuracy, you are probably on your own. If there aren't any sound issues with this setting, stick with the heuristic and don't try and look for a problem where there isn't one.

You'd be lucky to get this for $40, most go for $60 or more.
 
If you're just going to hang it I'll print you up a high quality 12"x12" of the cover art and mail it to you for $40.

I don't see why everyone is having a fit and falling it in over this release. You honestly think the re-releases from hot-topic are all "artist approved"? There are army's of lawyers that look over this stuff, it wouldn't be put out if it wasn't legal.
 
The label owns the masters, probably spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on the band. The band broke up, barely toured and probably are in the hole to the label for a ton. if the re-release is done right, sounds great and is done well, what's the problem?  There has been an insane demand for all of their releases on vinyl for years, it's their own fault for not capitalizing on it themselves.
 
Also, there is no way you can "flatten" a record and have it be fine, it screws it up permanently.

The LEAST you can do when chastising people here for jumping to conclusions is to at least finish reading through the thread before jumping to your conclusion.
